It has been the practice of Indian women to take some medicines to

delay the onset of menstrual cycle in case there is any Puja or

religious function in the house or even during pilgrimage tour.

 

And the society being still "male dominated", the family planning

burden has been on women only, thus falling victim to Birth Control

pills, thanks to our Health administrators, making pills freely

available in Primary health centres.

 

In Western countries the Cancer risk is well documented and people

know it well. Time has come to spread this to our villages and even

towns.

 

A Couple was awarded $1.5M in hormone replacement drug lawsuit.

The couple sued drug maker Wyeth because it's

hormone-replacement drug was the catalyst for the wife's breast

cancer

They were awarded $1.5 million by a Philadelphia jury on Monday.
