Guest guest
Namaste Krishnaaa, there are numerous methods of meditation and all lead to the summit. Described here is only one of them. If you feel comfortable with it, then try it. The simplest mode is Saguna meditation (with form, qualities and 'concrete). Meditation upon a murti, image or candle flame is concrete. This is best for beginners. Saguna practice enables purification of the mind. The mind also becomes trained and disciplined. If possible, keep a separate area for meditation only. Each day, enter this area with reverence. This ensures that the vibrations remain pure. Decorate it with pictures of Gods, Goddesses, Saints, Sages, etc. Incense and ghee lamp can be lit in the morning and evening. Remember to put out the incense and ghee lamp before leaving the house. Try Japa Meditation (also called Japa Yoga). The Sanskrit syllable/s (names of God) are Divine sounds of the subtle body of a Deity. When Mantra repetition (Japa Meditation) is done with bhakti, the form of the mantra's presiding Deity will be evoked. If possible, seek mantra diksha from a guru who will guide you in person. Alternatively, attend Yoga classes where they also teach meditation.
