About stomach ailment with pain, sometimes it can be food she eats which

is not compatible with her body type. Prolonged unhappiness, stress,

anger, resentment and fear are emotions that can also cause physical

ailments like stomach pain, swelling and bleeding. All symptoms are

different for each individual.

 

It sounds like she is suffering from a type of depression. Its very

important to seek expert diagnosis from a highly skilled psychiatrist.

This is even though a psychotherapist has made a diagnosis that its the

starting stage of mental problems. Some people who suffer from

depression tend to think only of the past like your friend's sister is

doing. This is because its hard for them to move into the present

where she is safer and should be happier at home with her mother and own

family. It's hard for her to comprehend in a positive mind frame about

the blessings she has since leaving her marriage. Some people get stuck

in "the past" without realizing it. Therapy/counseling can help with

this but only after a good psychiatrist has made the proper diagnosis
