Guest guest
Ganesha mantra Ganesha mantras are siddhi mantras . Each mantra contains certain specific powers of Lord Ganesha. When chanted with the proper pranayama (rhythmic breathing) and sincere devotion, they will yield good results. In general, Ganesha mantras will ward off all evil and bless the devotee with abundance, prudence and success. Evil spirits dare not enter the home or the mind of the devotee where Ganesha mantras are recited. Those so mystically inclined and knowledgeable of the seven chakras below the muladhara use these powerful incantantions under the direction of the guru to close off these regions of the mind one by one and free consciousness from deep depression, confusion, jealousy, rage, lingering anger and fear. Some such mantras are given below for the spiritual benefit of the readers. One more point to remember is that one should bathe or wash the limbs before sitting for repetition of the mantra. Also, one should do three or more pranayama before beginning the mantra. The minimum repetition of the mantra should be one full mala, or 108 times. When this is done at a fixed hour and place regularly for 48 days, it becomes an upasana, which means intense meditation, that will yield siddhis, or spiritual powers. Another warning to bear in mind is that one should use those powers only for healing the sick and other such selfless actions for the benefit of mankind. These powers should not be misused. Misuse of power may bring the curse of the asuras. Lord Ganesha or Lord Ganapati is the destroyer of obstacles. People mostly worship Him for siddhi, success in undertakings, and buddhi, intelligence. He is worshipped before any venture is begun. He is also the God of education, knowledge and wisdom, literature and fine arts. Lord Ganesha is also one of the five Gods the worship of whom was popularized by Adi Shankaracharya; the other four being Vishnu, Shiva, Shakti and Surya. The worship of these five deities is called the panchaayatana puja. In some cases, Skanda is also worshipped. It is said that Ganesha was born when the eternal couple contemplated on "Ohm". If you view Lord Ganesha sideways, you will see the symbol "Ohm" in Sanskrit. That's why Ganesha is called "Ohmkara" and worshipped first. "Ohm" is pranava mantram which means "Excellent Boat" (Prakriti +Nava = PraNava). The PraNavam is the only means to cross the ocean of worldly existence. Ganesha has four hands, an elephant's head and a big belly. His vehicle is a tiny mouse. In his hands he carries a rope (to carry devotees to truth), an axe (to cut devotees' attachments), and a sweet dessert ball - laddoo (to reward devotees for their spiritual activity). His fourth hand's palm is always extended to bless people. A unique combination of his elephant-like head and a quick moving mouse vehicle represents tremendous wisdom, intellegence and presence of mind. Guest guest
Namaskaar Prasanna This is a good post, however there are a couple things I wish to clarify for you. Closing off the Chakras is not a wise practice, these are necessary for the proper functioning of the energy system, to close it off can in most instances lead to disease of the physical body. Instead two other things can be done which are to create an external power source that wards off negative energy. This can be accomplished by 1) Wearing of a Kavacha 2) Wearing of a crystal such as a Schorl ( Black Tourmaline ) 3) learning how to transmute energy from negative to positive and protecting your aura. more importantly than all this however is to be able to raise your consciousness to higher chakras and establish it there, this will result in higher perception ! Secondly Evil spirits cannot enter your mind, they however can attune to your energy and influence you. The way of dealing with this is to purify your aura and keep it attuned to higher energies - these entities do not like either !
