Guest guest
Namaste Richika, I answered your questions earlier but my message didn't appear here. Anyway, religious books were written by men and mainly male-dominated for millennia. The books were written for humans. As both male and female are humans, women can also perform the pujas unless a specific book specifies clearly that women cannot perform a certain puja. This is rare though. About Prahar: 2 Naadikaa = 1 Muhoort 6-7 Naadikaa (not included two Muhoort time of day and night meeting time and according to the time of day and night) = 1 Prahar or Yaam - (It is 1/4th part of human-day or night = 3 hours) 4 Prahar = 1 Human day or night 8 Prahar = 1 Human day and night Hope this helps.
