Om Namah Shivaya!

Please go visit the Devi Mandir's website. It has been revised in the past few months and not only looks fantastic, but it is chock full of so much incredible information. They do daily webcast classes, chandi homas every Sunday (also on webcast) and so much more!

Also consider going the 2007 Sankalpa for Universal Peace. Shree Maa requested Her devotees and those from the online group to chant one very potent mantra from the Chandi Path 100,000 times over the course of this year to bring about Peace in the Universe. The mantra is from Chapter 11, Verse 39 and also is the last verse in the Durga Sapta Shloki. It is as follows:

Sarva badha prashamanam trailokyasyakileshwari

evameva tvaya karyam vairivinashinam

O, Spirit of the Supreme Sovereign, terminate all disturbance in the three worlds, and in like manner remove from us all hostility.

You can view the mantra and hear Shree Maa chanting it, as well as read more about the Sankalpa at

At first these sankalpa may look daunting, but it is not. I have already personally done over 55,000 repetitions, on top of my normal sadhana commitments. I have enlisted the aid of a hand tally counter and do the mantra while driving, at work, doing other tasks, exercise, etc. I have taken a very aggressive approach to finishing the 100,000 (actually I am committing to 111,111 just to cover errors) because my Summer traveling with Amma and my commitments there are quite full as it is. Most are just doing 3 malas or so a day--324+ daily. Though the mantra looks a little long and difficult to pronouce, with a little practice it is not. My 9 yr old memorized it in 5 minutes of concentrated effort. I wrote it down on a sticky note and put it in my car, but after the first day no longer needed it either.

Please consider joining the Sankalpa and the online Devi Mandir group as well. The group is at

Also I highly recommend all their books, videos and audio recordings. They are a rare treasure!

Jai Maa!
