At least what you are all saying about ama seems to explain more of the autoimmune disorders at once than having a lot of different causes. For example, I have RA, asthma, diabetes, psoriasis, heart disease, and various allergies, and all these have been linked with autoimmunity in different ways. I can also see how they could fit what is said about ama and that explanation seems to hang together better than thinking that it is just a coincidence that I have all these autoimmune conditions. The difference in systems, it seems to me, is that Ayurveda doesn't seem to accept that if a person has various conditions that they are all random occurrences.
