I have joined today out of my desire to know more about ayurveda treatment on Rheumatoid arthritis which has effected to my close relative who stays in palakkad. My relative is in the early twenties and have severe pain. They have taken treatment but have not got any improvement. Request if any of you has come out of this acute stage in Rheumotoid arthrities from a particular center in kerala please help me out. I have rheumatoid arthritis also and if it is any consolation, sometimes the condition will go into remission on its own for a while. I have found that the Maha Naryana oil is good and also castor oil and if nothing else works, ice on the worst joints. From what I have experienced, the disease will often be at its worst when one is younger and burn itself out a little as you get older. Of course by then there is a fair amount of joint damage. I took ayurvedic treatment from Dr Anil Taneja in Delhi for about 1.5 years. Since then I have had pain here and there but nothing serious. RA factor is still high but SED Rate has always come low. Whatever I have is dry, elevated sed rate, swells, and benefits from cold, and is made worse by weather changes. I think it is good that you pointed out that there is not a straight correspondence between amavata and rheumatoid arthritis. Much of my reading does associate the two and it occurred to me that that is why the people on this forum always ask for the signs and symptoms for themselves rather than accept the Western diagnosis and try to translate.
