Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, If you haven't watched the movie Mother Teresa, I recommend it. I just finished watching it and find myself in awe. There is one scene in particular that caught my eye. Its the scene where Mother Teresa is walking to the train, she spots an old man lying down. She leans down to hear him whisper "I thirst". All of a sudden all the people around them disappear. It was this scene that grabbed me. She became the light, the spiritual, the love, and everything good. She was out of place in an ordinary world, in her black and white robe the train, station and dying man around her. She symbolized, hope, compassion, and love, while he symbolized loneliness, despair, and the forgotten. It was contrasting extremes, light and dark, loved and lonely, hope and despair, spirit and body. It was the pivotal moment where she discovered that she didn't want to leave India and wanted to live on the streets of Calcutta. It was so awe inspiring. I have attached a digital photo to this email, but, it does the scene no justice. Jai Ma! Robin
