Guest guest
Namaste Everyone! I have been home miserable with a cold today, but I wanted to share something special that made my day. A couple of days ago Aliyah (my oldest daughter) asked me about some changes happening to her body - sure enough I realize the onset of puberty is here. OY! I'm not ready for this! lol I've notice the past few months or so she has become more and more interested in Amma and our sat sang. At one sat sang a few weeks ago she sat through the majority of the sat sang which seem to encourage Hannah to do the same. It was such a special sat sang for me to have them join in. Once in a while they will both play the tambourine, but its usually just one song. This was something different and a little more involved. A few nights ago she pops up asking Amma questions, she does this from time to time. She became very involved and I read a few of Amma's quotes or excerpts for her. She then came home from school today and while doing her homework looks over to tell me very excitedly that she had a dream of Amma last night, her first dream! I told her that this is a very special dream when Amma comes to see you. She told me a little more and how Amma sat with her at the beach and talked with her. She said Amma moved her hands just like 'the real' Amma does. (chuckles) I told her 'Wow, Amma LOVES the ocean, what a special dream for her to take you to her beloved ocean and talk with her!' She said that before the ocean Amma was walking with her around her school just talking with her, then took Aliyah to the beach. As they walked along the beach Aliyah said Amma had no shoes and wore her white sari. She said they sat down and talked in 'the indian language' which I explain was Malayalam and she completely understood Amma. She didn't understand how that was possible, I told her "In your dreams ANYTHING is possible, and when Amma is around just look out!" How beautiful! Aliyah is so special, she has often told me from a VERY early age that she talks to God in her head ALL the time. I myself did the same as a small child. I just feel that she is a really spiritual child. I feel the same with Hannah, she is so extremely loving with ALL people. She radiates love. Her teachers can't even get enough of her! She is a BIG teachers pet this year. All of her teachers have told me what a loving child she is, and not just teachers, friends have had the same reaction. She never hesitates to think of her sister or mom when they need something, she is a total giver. She loves to read spiritual stories, her whole face brightens up. I feel so blessed. I feel like I am taking care of Amma's very own precious children. I wonder if Aliyah's first Amma dream has anything to do with her growing out of childhood?? Recently Aliyah and I had the SAME dream. This was a few months ago and we were going out to meet my parents for breakfast. As I am driving, Aliyah tells me she had a dream she was driving all night, at that point I almost wrecked the car by doing a 180 in my seat to exclaim "Oh my gosh!! So did I!! I told her she was driving all around town, she said 'yeah and you were in the back seat,' and I jumped in to say 'yeah I was sleeping!!!' We kept jumping in piece by piece finishing each others sentence. I will never forget it. It was bazaar. I often feel Aliyah is an 'identical' little me. She is not only the spitting image of me, but thinks just like me, learns like me, talks, walks.......point being its bazaar how alike we are. Who knows what the mysteries of the universe are. All I know is I am blessed with two VERY beautiful, special, spiritual girls. Jai Ma! Robin
Guest guest
What a beautiful story! I always rejoice when I get the occasional Amma dream, even if I can't remember what She and I talked about. It's always a blessing and I wish I had been receiving them and understanding them at her age. At least she has a mom like you, to bring her and her sister to Amma in this life. Guest guest
I really enjoyed this so much! Even moreso in being around both of your girls. We all love them so much at Satsang! And what you say is so true. They are so fortunate, too, to have Amma in their lives so early on. What a blessing to the whole family. love in AMMA, adriane
