Format and content changes in the magazine: Notice that the magazine is now thicker! With four additional pages the page count has reached 40. Readers will be able to enjoy a new mystery story, features like reviews of either books or url links, and an informational center spread, which can be displayed proudly on any wall. We have something exclusively for parents too – A tip on raising children outside Bharat (India). Feb 2007 contest announcement: We are happy to announce Balagokulam magazines first biannual contest of the year. More than 200 children participated in the previous contest and the qualities of all entries were highly commendable. We hope that more children will participate this time and in the future. Please make this possible by spreading the word amongst all your friends and family. Remember that one does not have to be a r to compete. There are four age groups (Below 7, 8-10, 11-13, and 13-16) and various categories (Art, Poetry, Essay and Story). Each category within each age group will see two winners. Winners will receive a certificate, and either a Gold or Silver Medal. Special prizes will be given for overall participation. The last day to enter into contests is Feb 15. (Limit 14 lines) Age group 11 — 13 and 14 — 16: - Artwork — Painting/sketch with the theme related to water (such as rain, sea, river, drought, flood etc...) - Story — "I Never Imagined" (limit 350 words) - Debate — "One should not hesitate to carry Indian food to school." OR "One need not carry Indian food to school."
