Namaskaram to all bhagavatas.

Adiyen had the bhagyam to visit Thiruputkuzhi (7 kms from

Kancheepuram on the highway from Chennai-Bangalore) the abode of

Vijayaraghava Perumal and Maragadhavalli Thayaar. Some highlights:

1.We were told thta Jatayu attained moksham at this sthalam.

2.Maragadavalli thayaar's head is slightly tilted towards perumal.

3.Even after frying the Payaru it will sprout.Which is a wonder by

itself.

4.The Dwaja stambam is outside the kovil.

5.Desikar composed Sudarshana Shatakam in Kancheepuram.

There is also an idhegam that Pullaboodangudi also is a place where

jatayu got moksham. Now i am confused. Can you please clarify my doubt

as to where jatayu got moksham and also explain why thayyar's head

is tilted and also let me know if the temple has any other

importance.

Hope Priyava would Please excuse the spelling mistakes and also if

adiyen has misstated anything.

Adiyen Ramanuja Daasi,

vasumathi sridharan.

Lord Sri Rama had Jatayu by His right, lit the pyre and performed the rites. Unable to bear the heat of fire, Mother Sridevi moved to left of the Lord from right and Bhoodevi Thayar moved to the left from the right, according to scriptures. Based on the story, Thayar shrine is at the left of the Lord and that of Sri Andal is at the right in the temple.
