Guest guest
Dear Friends, Prayer alone will not suffice, the change has to come from with in us, God and his angels will not help us unless we show courage and help them, we need to tread the path of dhrama and truth, we need to do things that will have an impact atleast on our neighbourhood if not in the world. People are realizing this, spiritual awakening is coming again, people are understanding the bad things they are doing and trying to correct and change. We as lord Shiva's followers must be the ones to start and spread the change, however small it is. Guest guest
Namaskaar If Lord Shiva is the consciousness of all, then don't you all think he already is quite aware of all of the nonsense that is going on. You see we are told that he has his Nishkala aspect ( without form or desire ) where he abides. In between this and the Saguna aspect ( with form and emotion ) there is a ceiling of consciousness that blocks out all thoughts and desires, this is why we are asked to become desire less to be able to experience God as bliss. Further, we are the architects of our own problems in most instances. If you want Lord Shiva to solve these problems I guarantee you, you will not like his solutions in most instances! We need to do several things 1) Pray for guidance from Lord Shiva daily 2) Identify our problems at a personal, familial, community, Country, Regional and Global level. 3) Prepare ourselves with Knowledge, discipline and productivity 4) Think, Plan, and execute with a minimum of errors, monitor and revise our ideas as necessary. There are several areas that require priority, Security, Food and Housing 5) Work as a community to solve problems and create opportunity to help ourselves. 6) Destroy with dispassion all form of evil as far as we can be they human or spirit. There is something I need to make yo all aware of, Lord Shiva has become one of the pet Gods ( you know he is all bliss and auspiciousness and he has controlled anger etc... ) know this to be absolutely incorrect. Lord Shiva's dances are Sristhi ( creation ) Stitih ( maintenance ) Samsara ( manifestation) Pralaya ( dissolution) but there is one that is normally missed it is called Raudra ( anger ). He is a God of transformation and destruction, when he gets annoyed a whole lot of things happen that we would not like ! Think about this carefully and then act accordingly. Guest guest
Dear Sri Kanishk, > > but one question ....who is more powerfull, lord mahadev, or destiny?? The Lord has a massive machine, a massive law in operation - that is prakriti - made up of 5 elements, mind, intellect and ego. This massive machine or wheel of karma has been set into motion by the Lord and now everything is happening as per the law or rules created by him. This law of karma is very uncompromising - nobody is spared but whosoever has the knowledge that I am not the doer and I am not the enjoyer, is freed from the negative and positive effects of karma. Once we have that knowledge, we know that whatever happens in Prakriti cannot affect the Param-Purusha or God and we are nothing but Atman or God or Brahman.Actually with that knowledge, even Prakriti becomes non-different from Purusha. Note that Siva and Sakti are inseparable but we are used to perceiving only Sakti - in the visible universe and not seeing the consciousness or intelligence behind this big movie. Guest guest
Namaskaar that is ...that is we read in puraans that every thing has been prewritten. .....like what is going to happen in kalpa's to come ....so there must be oppertune time for everything.... He is the creator and controller of destiny ! The answer given below by Mahadevadvaita is correct, however there is one additional thing we need to be aware of - Lord Shiva is a God of infinite creativity ! Therefore what is written is only a guideline, he also gave us brains and minds to be able to solve problems and to also be creative. Therefore we need to be able to solve problems, our problems and with his help even what is written can be changed to some extent Regards Pandit Devindra Maharaj mahadevadvaita <mahadevadvaita > wrote: Dear Sri Kanishk, > > but one question ....who is more powerfull, lord mahadev, or destiny?? Guest guest
Pranam. There is a saying in Tamil which says 'Vithiyai mathiyal vellalaam', which literally mean Fate can be won by Mathi which means Intellect or the Moon. The moon denotes the wearer of the moon, ie Lord Shiva. With Love Shankaree Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj > wrote: Namaskaar that is ...that is we read in puraans that every thing has been prewritten. .....like what is going to happen in kalpa's to come ....so there must be oppertune time for everything.... Guest guest
what you are saying...i think is absolutely correct...... there is a story about mahakaleshwar jyotirling.....there was a king named dushan....he had a boon that even kaal cannot kill him.... then there was a sheperd boy called shrikar....he was devoutedly worshipping lord shiva, then the attendents of dushan told him that he is worshipping a stone linga instead of worshipping him.....as he had become haughty after recieving the boon...... Then he tried to attack the boy shrikar....the lord shiva appeared and said...why are you harrasing my devotee.... Then dushan king said to lord shiva that "shiv even you cannot destroy me as even kaal cannot destroy me".....then lord shiva said that if kaal cannot destroy you then i am Mahakaal......and then he openened his third eye....and that was the end king dushan....and that was how Mahakaleshwar jyotirling was established.... So what you have said is abolutely correct...... regards, kanishk Shankaree Ramatas wrote: > Pranam. Thanks Manoj --- kanishk <kc3377 > wrote: > what you are saying...i think is absolutely > correct..... . > there is a story about mahakaleshwar > jyotirling.. ...there was a king > named dushan....he had a boon that even kaal cannot > kill him.... > then there was a sheperd boy called shrikar....he > was devoutedly > worshipping lord shiva, then the attendents of > dushan told him that he > is worshipping a stone linga instead of worshipping > him.....as he had > become haughty after recieving the boon...... > Then he tried to attack the boy shrikar....the lord > shiva appeared and > said...why are you harrasing my devotee.... > Then dushan king said to lord shiva that "shiv even > you cannot destroy > me as even kaal cannot destroy me".....then lord > shiva said that if kaal > cannot destroy you then i am Mahakaal.... ..and then > he openened his > third eye....and that was the end king dushan....and > that was how > Mahakaleshwar jyotirling was established. ... > > So what you have said is abolutely correct..... . > > regards, > kanishk > > Shankaree Ramatas wrote: > > Pranam. Guest guest
This sounds like a combining of several legends. Interesting how this happens. - kanishk Sunday, January 21, 2007 6:49 PM Re: Re: Reincarnation what you are saying...i think is absolutely correct...... there is a story about mahakaleshwar jyotirling.....there was a king named dushan....he had a boon that even kaal cannot kill him.... then there was a sheperd boy called shrikar....he was devoutedly worshipping lord shiva, then the attendents of dushan told him that he is worshipping a stone linga instead of worshipping him.....as he had become haughty after recieving the boon...... Then he tried to attack the boy shrikar....the lord shiva appeared and said...why are you harrasing my devotee.... Then dushan king said to lord shiva that "shiv even you cannot destroy me as even kaal cannot destroy me".....then lord shiva said that if kaal cannot destroy you then i am Mahakaal......and then he openened his third eye.....and that was the end king dushan....and that was how Mahakaleshwar jyotirling was established.... So what you have said is abolutely correct...... regards, kanishk Shankaree Ramatas wrote: Pranam. There is a saying in Tamil which says 'Vithiyai mathiyal vellalaam', which literally mean Fate can be won by Mathi which means Intellect or the Moon. The moon denotes the wearer of the moon, ie Lord Shiva. With Love Shankaree Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj > wrote: Namaskaar that is ...that is we read in puraans that every thing has been prewritten. ....like what is going to happen in kalpa's to come ...so there must be oppertune time for everything.... He is the movie screen on which is movie is going on. regards, Om Namah Sivaya > that is ...that is we read in puraans that every thing has been > prewritten.....like what is going to happen in kalpa's to come........ > > so there must be oppertune time for everything.... > > regards, > kanishk > > > Dev Maharaj wrote: > > > > Namaskaar > > > > If Lord Shiva is the consciousness of all, then don't you all think he > > already is quite aware of all of the nonsense that is going on.
