Of course, the response from all Hindus will be to oppose any such move. Hindu council (UK) will lobby all the MP's and MEP's to ensure that any such attempt to ban the Swastika is opposed in the British Parliament and defeated in the European parliament. The Swastika is a symbol of auspiciousness not only for the Hindus but also for other Indic religions like Jainism and Buddhism. Germany under Hitler misused this symbol and committed horrendous atrocities under this banner but that does not mean that somehow that gives Germany the right to ask for its ban. The example we gave to illustrate the point was to say, 'Suppose your child went out to play and someone threw mud at him. When he returns home would you reject him because someone has covered him with dirt? Not likely, you just wash him and take him in. In the same way the Germans must learn the true significance of the Swastika, it does not advocate holocaust, it promotes well-being of mankind.
