And as long as you are sticking to names and forms of God you are worshiping the Grahas as a means to reach God. In other words: "you need a piece of wood to make fire"... how will you get fire without wood? So, for us limited mortals we worship images of the grahas in their higher forms as devatas to reach God, as that is easier for us. So then the question is: Why not graha dristi? Graha dristi is based on desire, and not based on actual sight. Rasi dristi shows what you can physically see, or what your mind can perceive. Better to worship an aspect of God that you can see and perceive, rather than one that you cannot. Since Graha dristi is based on desire, the desire to worship a particular form of God may arise during the dasa of that graha, but this is temporary and will disappear after some time... when the dasa is over. Hence, we do not use graha dristi to advise worship.
