We founded a charitable trust named PRANAVAM TRUST to rejuvenate and preserve the culture of Yajna .And also aimed for cultural and charitable activities. At first we decided to conduct a SOMAYAGAM in “Pakazhiyam” system, at Rappal Sreekrishnapuram Temple Ground (near Pudukad-Thrissur), from 19th to 25th of April 2007 .(1182 Medam 6 to 12). The last Pakazhiyam Somayagam was organized 58 years ago. The Kaimukku Somayagam is also called Pakazhiyam Yagam, but it was a “Kaimukku system”. So this Yagam is very rare and risky to conduct. The famous Vedic scholer Naduvath Narayanan Namboothiri (son of Naduvath Narayanan Somayajipad) is the Yajamanan (master) of this Yagam. After this Yagam, we would like to establish a VEDA-THANTHRA-SROUTHA-SAMSKRITA VIDYAAPEETAM (3 Vedas,Thanthram,Sanskrit, Sroutham(Vaidika kriyas-Yagams and Athirathrams) and Jyothisham (Astrology). Academic education will also combine with this. In this “Vedic annex “we are also planning to establish a VEDIC MUSEUM (to preserve and protect all Utensils which use in Yagams and Athirathrams) and a VEDIC LIBRARY (for preserving classic books, manuscript, magazines related Vedas). For the successful completion of these projects we need to raise fund and manpower. The first stage is the Somayagam and the estimated cost is 78 lakh. And for the second stage including veda-thanthra-sroutha-samskrithavidyaapeetam and vedic museum, the estimated cost is 75 lakh.
