Guest guest
Surrender to the God! We hear this word many times from many saints, scriputres and religions. But is our surrender a true surrender to the supreme ? What most of us know of surrender is that when we find no help from our physical sources, when we see we have tried our best but could not get desired thing, or when we are surrounded by negativity and we see no way out, WE surrender to God and say O god please help me I am surrendering myself to you. Though this surrender is not wrong, but this is not a true surrender and God can not be fooled each time with such hypocricy. A story would clarify it better. Samurai as you know are holy sword-warriors of Japan. They were great fighters as well as great spiritual beings too. So once a samurai was crossing sea in a boat with his wife. That samurai was very famous for his sword and remained undefeated. He was highly respected by the society. Suddenly there was a storm in the sea and the boat started shaking violently. All in boat started screaming and planning on how to save in case the boat sinks. The wife of samurai started crying too and saw toward the samurai, who was sitting peaceful, smiling. He was not even praying God for help. Samurai's wife was very upset. She said what type of man you are ? Everyone is worried....i am crying and you are sitting peaceful and smiling ? you are not afraid of anything...at least for me? Samurai suddenly drew his sword and started wagging it around his wife's neck. Now the boat was shaking, there was every chance that the sword may hit her neck and kill her...but she sat unmoved watching surprisingly her husband. Samurai asked," Tell me why you are not afraid of my sword ? The wife smiled and said," You are the best Samurai in the world and I am you beloved wife. I know for sure...come what may...your sword will never hurt me. Samurai said," This is an answer to your previous question. My God is the best in the world...and I am his beloved child. Why should I be afraid of his storms ? This is the real surrender! Surrendering to god is the best sadhna of Kaliyuga (or rather every yuga).....but we should first see that we are not trying to fool the Supreme in the name of our surrender. Ego never surrenders because it is made to fight its way out. with love
