Guest guest
I have suffering from anxiety neurosis and obsessive thoughts and panic attacks. I get obsessive thoughts like Who made this world? Who made God. Why god made this earth. How earth is revolving and n number of thoughts regarding the objects. Whatever I see my mind forces me to think about how this object came into existense. I also get violent impulses of hitting with knife or throwing objects. Somehow I have never been violent till now. I feel derealized and disconnected. I am taking allopathy which is helping in symptomatically. I took ayurveda treatment but no help, but that does not mean ayurveda cannot treat it. Depends upon the doctor. Can anyone guide me about which all pranayama should i do and what medicines. I have excessive body heat and my forehead even sweats in winter. Thanks Ashish {Moderator adds: efforts in editing your message, where sequence of alphabets gets jumbled up, (This happens when one types fast on keyboard) tells the speed at which your mind races. You really need no medicine, except meditation. Cool down.]
Guest guest
You should do sheetali pranayama. I think you should seek out a very good yoga and meditation class and learn how to control the mind thorugh the breath. Just visualize beauty everywhere, feel cool water flwoing from the top of the head to the feet. Chant om namah shivaya andperform abhishek on siva lingam on every evening - especially Monday. Sheetali pranayama would be very appropriate. > I have suffering from anxiety neurosis and obsessive thoughts and > panic attacks. ........ > I have excessive body heat and my forehead even sweats in winter. Guest guest
Dear Asish; Along with the good advise of others, the question comes to me, which medications from allopathy are you now using? When did you begin, and when did the heat and violent symptoms begin? etc. If the meds are for mental concerns, most likely they are among the class of drugs which are known to sometimes give violence, rage, like that. Consider looking at Dr. Ann Blake Tracey's website, drugawareness.org where I believe you can search for symptoms and side effects of the SSRI medications (not just for depression). These medications work to cover and not cure some symptoms, at same time exacerbating (increasing) the source imbalances. You say Ayurveda has not helped, how much ayurveda have you done, and which methods? It is my humble understanding that panic attacks, obsessive and anxiety emotions, much of your first list of symptoms have relation to the vata vayus out of balance, and perhaps (likely) diverted kundalini process, but that is not my area of wise counsel. The asana, pranayama, and non-straining meditation experience in practices will help the vata and pitta as well as spiritual anguish, I too expect, although more ayurvedic support and appropriate medicines, other factorse sound like very wise to include. Some good news, vedic astrology indicates after the 15th this month the intensity of challenges many are experiencing depending upon which houses are afflicted, are due to lighten considerably.
