the death of 22 (and not 23) new born babies occured in early november last year just after i wrote out my piece on 16th october and not in july august as i have mentioned in my mail below. i cross checked this and here is the site about the news item

it is unfortunate about those children in noida. also in the month of july august last year a record number of 23 new born babies died in a single (calcutta) hospital due to an infection, a probe is under way to find the cause for such high number of deaths of children in matter of weeks from each other.
