Dear Mr Kandasamy

 

I am writing to this forum after a lapse of few years. So I

have written in a way I used to analyze the chart. Kindly

bear with me as it is too long.

 

Many articles and methods are proposed here to decide on

the compatibility of horoscope for marriage. I am taking up

the datas provided by you more on a discussion basis rather

than advising. I hope you understand this limitation.

 

In Tamil Nadu region of India the popular Almanac used

follow what is called Vakkya Panjang (Arya Siddhantha). But

for discussion I have cast horoscope using Jagannatha Hora.

 

A detailed discussion of matching requires Longevity

calculation of charts, mental disposition and psychological

behaviour and Dosha affecting length of married life, more

than one marriage, physical and mental torture, etc.

 

A. Longevity: The boy asc is Gemini its lord Mercury is in

second house (panapara) astanga (within 8o30’). Two natural

malefics (Kethu and Saturn) are in the first house. Sun

though in the first house is not a natural malefic besides

he is in second bhava (Sripathi system). The first house

has the aspect of Mars from 10th house and Rahu/Moon from

the 7th house. Natural malefics spoil the effects of the

houses they occupy or aspect. Following the same argument

Moon is affected due to conjunction of Rahu and aspect of

Saturn, Sun and Kethu(?).

 

Favourable points are: lagna lord has more shadbala(8.23)

compared to astamathipathi(5.05) in the astakavarga first

house has more SAV than 8th house (28/26) for Moon sign/its

8th house(29/19); aspect of Jupiter on asc.lord Mercury and

natural benefic Jupiter in the 8th house (Ayusthan) promote

ayush. Jupiter though debilitated but due to its retrograde

motion get exalted.

 

The girl asc Taurus its lord Venus is in panapara , a

friendly house with its lord Mercury. Asc is occupied by

Sun, karaka and has the aspect of Saturn, a natural

malefic. In the SAV first house and 8th house points are

favourable(30/20).

 

B. Outlook : Boy born on lunar eclipse day, in baksha bala

it is full Moon but associated with Rahu, has the aspect of

sat, Sun and Kethu. Saturn is in marana karaka sthana in

both Rasi and Navamsa. Thus Moon is afflicted by eclipse,

Rahu , Saturn, Kethu and Sun. 5th lord Venus in enemy

house. Mercury is in inimical house.

 

In the girl chart, Moon has no malefic aspect or

association (only planet aspect considered). 5th lord and

budhi karaka Mercury strong in own house.

 

C. Marriage Life: 7th house in the boy’s chart is afflicted

by Rahu, kethu, Saturn and Sun. Six out of 9 planets are in

dual sign. 7th lord Jupiter in 8th sign. Karaka Venus is in

an enemy sign in Rasi and in nodal axis in Navamsa. In D-9

chart 7th house is occupied by Jupiter and has the aspect

of Saturn both will delay the marriage. Saturn DK is in MKS

both in D1 and D9.

 

In the girl chart 7th house is unoccupied. 7th lord Mars

aspects 7th house. Sun 4th lord also aspect the 7th house.

In D-9 7th house is occupied by functional malefic(3 & 12

lord) Mercury, which is its MKS. 7th lord Saturn is 6th

house with Venus, a karaka for marriage and DK in its MKS.

D Manglik Dosha There are different views on this. In BPHS

chap 82 Female horoscopy slokas 28 and 47 describe this

dosha.. “ If Mars is bereft of the aspect or conjunction of

the auspicious planets and is posited in 1st, 2nd, 4th,

12th,7th and 8th house in the woman’s horoscope, the

husband of such woman will certainly have an early death.

If a woman with the yoga of widowhood marries a man with

the similar yoga in his nativity, it will cause

cancellation of such yoga.” Brihat Jataka, Phaladeepika

and Jataka Parijata also mentioned that 8th house placement

of malifics cause widowhood.

 

Dr B.V.Raman in his book Muhurtha (Electional Astrology)

supporting the above views expressed that evil position of

kuja should be reckoned from Asc., Moon and Venus.

 

In the girl’s chart, Mars is in the 4th house from Asc and

8th house from the Moon. Mars associated with Jupiter, Rahu

and Saturn. Mars a fiery planet in Leo will be very strong.

>From Moon sign, Mars a bhadaka(11th lord) is in 8th house.

 

In the boy’s chart Mars is in jala rasi in 4th house from

Moon with the aspect of Saturn.

 

E. Kuta Matching

 

1. Dina kuta Constellation of boy from that of girl –

Sravanam to Poorvashadha – 26 Divide by 9 remainder 8 - - -

GOOD

2. Gana Kuta Girl/boy – Deva / Manusha – Average

3. Mahendra Girl to boy constellation – No match

6. Rasi Kuta – Rasi of boy from that of girl 12th – GOOD

7. Graha Maitram :

Based on lagna – girl to boy -2/12 lords Venus / Mercury

N.Friens in both chart Venus & Mercury together. GOOD

Based on Moon – girl to boy – 12/2 lords Saturn / Jupiter –

Both Neutral. Their position in girl chart together in

boy;s chart 6/8 – No match

8. Vasya Kuta : No match

9.Rajju : G/B –Kantarajju / Katirajju both arooga different

– GOOD

10. Vedha : No vedha to each star – GOOD

11. Nadi kuta – G/B – Sleshma / Pitha – GOOD

12. Varna – G / B ; Sudra / Kshatriya – GOOD

 

F. Upapada Matching ; No info on previous relationship

assumed first for both

Girl upapada Sagittarius Boy’s asc 7th from it Gemini –

Match.

Her UL / AL : 8/6 Her AL / A7 : 8/6 – No match

Boy Upapada Virgo Girl asc 9th from it Taurus Kona -

Match

His AL/UL 2/12 His AL / A7 – 7th No match

 

G. Gantaka chakra

H. Current Period

 

Vimshottari Dasa(from Moon) Boy experiencing Rahu Dasa(5th)

Jupiter Bhukthi from 22 Dec 2004 to 16 May 2007. Rahu in

7th bhava and Jupiter 7th lord in 8th bhava. Jupiter is

transiting 12th sign from natal Moon.

Girl is experiencing Jupiter dasa Jupiter bhukthi from 8

Oct 2005 to 25 Nov 2007 later sat bhukthi up to 6 June

2010.Jupiter is 8th lord and posited in 8th sign to Moon

and currently she is experiencing the effect of astakasani

transiting Leo. Sani will be moving over 22nd Drekkana /

64th Navamsa position. Since she is born in Shasti thithi

Leo sign transit and planets there will give bad effects.

 

So based on the above, I conclude both chart do not match

and is better for the girl to marry after Sani period is

over. By then Mars mangalik effect will be over(Mars age

28) and Sani will move to Virgo.
