Some of you might know about this, the Surya Namaskar Yagya starts

from Jan 13, 2007- Jan 28, 2007. It is highly recommended that

Why take part in the yagya ?

Many of us know about the great benefits of yoga but for some or the

other reason lack the discipline to practise it everyday. Surya

Namaskar Yagya is meant to change all that. It is an opportunity for

all of us to firmly embed Yoga into our daily life. As we take part in

this yagya with thousands of other swayamsevaks it provides an ideal

environment and lots of motivation for everyone to do Yoga daily. So

lets take part in this yagya and lead a healthy lifestyle with eternal

bliss!

 

Why Surya Namaskar ?

It is common knowledge that Surya Namaskar is a set of asanas that

work on the entire body. It strengthens the entire body and rids it of

all kinds of illnesses. Since it combines rhythmic breathing along

with the asanas it gives us the benefits of pranayam too. You can

chant the mantras while doing it and thereby heed to the benefits of

this vedic tradition. Great saints and yogis have done a thousand

Surya Namaskars daily. Also it is a great way to get started into yoga

and work your way into other asanas and pranayamas. See

How do I participate ?

 

Come to Shakha regularly and Practice Suryanamaskar everyday during the Yagna period.

Continue to do it even after the yagna. Do it for life!
