Guest guest
Folks Somebody I know has some eye problem. Other than the regular medical procedures, there are some remedial measures such as Soorya (Sun) mantra recitation. I am trying to find out which particular mantra it is and also any additional insights that members can give on the chart. Horoscope is as follows: Pisces lagna. Jupiter exalted in 5th, Rahu in third, Sat ® in fourth. Mars in seventh. Mo, Me, Ve, and Su in eighth house. Rahu-Rahu is current dasa. It is clear that moon (krishna chaturdasi) is weak although vargottama, Sun is debilitated but in Pisces in D9. From Sun and Moon lagna there is mars and ketu creating a kartari. My question is Ve, Mo and Me aspect 2nd house (from lagna) -why would there be trouble in right eye ? Mars aspects his own house - second. But that should help. Any insights into chart and mantra recitation remedy is requested from respected members. Thanks Manjunath Sharma
Guest guest
Dear Manjunath Isn't the mere placement of both the luminaries in the 8th with the 8th lord enough to give obstructions to vision. Guest guest
Dear shri Manjunath As Mr.Nicholas has said,Moon-Venus conjunction in Triksthanas can lead to eye problems. But for serious troubles, malefic aspect/placements on 2nd and 12th houses, weakness of jupiter(karaka for 2nd),weakness of lagna etc should be checked. I feel any humble prayer is accepted.Listening to Aditya Hridayam and if possible recitation will prove good for the blessings from Surya. Hope the person recovers fast. Thanks Pradeep , "Nicholas" <jyotish108 wrote: > > Dear Manjunath > > Isn't the mere placement of both the luminaries in the 8th with the 8th lord enough to give obstructions to vision. > > Nicholas > - > M. Guest guest
Thanks Pradeep and Nicholas. From laga 2nd and 12th does not look bad. But as Nicholas pointed out weak luminaries in 8th is enough to flag the issue. What's the longitudinal difference between Sun and Venus, the karaka for the eyes? 2. You don't mention it but are you certain that Venus isn't retrograde? The planetary combination indicates so. Anyway, if retro, just hope that the difference between it and the Sun isn't under 10 degrees because it'll then be combust. Added to a dead 2nd lord with no benefic aspects on it and being in 6th, there's a spot of bother. 3. When is Ra-Ra dasa ending? 4. Please check for influences on the 2nd house and A2 from Mandi and/or Gulika including argalas. 5. Since the tithi of birth is Krishna Chaturdashi, buy a not-too-heavy golden idol of Lord Shiva having a New Moon on the forehead (whatever the hell that means!), a white garland around the neck, having three eyes, dressed in white, sittin on a bull, being two-armed and carrying Vara and Abhaya. After invocation with Varuna mantra, worship should be performed by chanting appropriate mantras. Thereafter, a kalash should be placed in the northeast with chanting of the 'Imah Mai Varun', 'Tan Tva Yami' and 'Tvan Nai Agni' mantras, followed by a japa of the 'Bhadra Agni' suktas. After an abhishekha of the idol, the navagrahas should be worshipped, followed by a ghee havan using sesame powder, urdal, sarson and wood pieces of pipal, pakar, palas and khadir trees. 108 oblations should be made separately for the nine grahas. Thereafter, the havan should be performed with sesame seeds for the nine grahas. Lastly, the water of the kalash should be sprinkled on the native and the parents. Lastly, feed some brahmins. Yaaaaaaaaaaaawn. And apologies to the westerners on this Group who wouldn't have the foggiest idea of what I've just written; actually I don't have, either As a quick check, have a look at the various Narayana dashas and look for the first period where the 2nd lord is happily placed vis-a-vis its own. In this case, since 7th is stronger, the reckoning would always be 7th from whichever rasi runs. A quick run indicates thus: a. Virgo: Venus combust (if at all) b. Cancer: 2nd lord debilitated but presence of 2 benefics (one combust) and one mild malefic, with Jup in 10th. You should try your best during that phase to resurrect the optical problem, possibly by a temporal wearing of the ruby. c. Scorpio: 2nd lord in badhakasthana + in 8th. No good. d. Sagittarius: 2nd lord retro in 6th. Same as above. e. Aries: 2nd lord combust. You'll draw your inferences, I'm sure. Cheers, Ramapriya

Guest guest
Dear Manjunath, But 2nd house is the right eye, if I remember right. I would say with both the luminaries and Venus in 8th, trouble must be to both the eyes, though more to the right eye. Chandrashekhar. M.
