It establishes the pramana and makes a person understand the Reality. Please seek a Guru to explain the subtle meaning of these divine verses. Then the next step would be to find a commentary on the Gita that would suit that sampradaya. I think it is part of the vaisnava canon of texts since it states that Krsna is God. I think it would be difficult to be in another hindu school (i.e. saiva, sakta, etc.) and accept the Gita. I am glad that you have realized your internal Guru, but there are innumerable references in the sastras which say that without approaching a bonafide guru one cannot progress on the spiritual path at all, and for one who does sincerely surrender to a bonafide guru, all spiritual truths are revealed to him. I hope readers will note the contradiction in your words. If you had realized your internal guru you wouldn't have misunderstood me, nor would you have reacted so outrageously. Suresh used to often remind us with his beautiful, compassionate and bewitching smile that Krishna was a PurnaPurusha/PoornaPurusha! Money is not a meaure of spirituality. If people in your country and spending money to have a healthy mind or body or for some knowledge, I would consider them intelligent. 

And lastly, before making claims about "western" money remember most of it is stolen from the east and from unlawful occupation of africa, australia, north america and south america and by arm twisting many other nations. 

To understand a pramana one needs a guru.

On the concept of God in scriptures, the new testament, which incidentally is much more widely read than the Gita,quotes Jesus as saying I am the way, the life and the Truth, implying hat he is God Granted, the Gita might have preceded the New Testament, but is one, Jesus or Krishna a liar ? You are making the same mistake the Christians make abt Jesus byt associating a physical personality with the Absolute. While it may facilate devotion to a particular form, it non the less has created sectarian violence. Krishna being such a colourfull personality is no doubt a popular subject of devotion and numerous devotees have worshipped him as God. That is not to say, that the one God should only be worshipped in one form or with no form. Bottom line, it does not matter if you call God, Krishna, Allah, Jesus or Shiva. There is only 1. While you will probably disagree with this view, by quoting the Gita viz reference to Dieties or Demigods as ISKON refers to,,,the notion is quite simple..He who worships a diety with a purpose of reward will go to the abode of the diety, but he who worships Me,( for mine own sake) comes to Me. It was Ramakrishna who said that God assumes a form that is crystallised by the devotion of the devotee. On the concept of God in scriptures, the new testament, which incidentally is much more widely read than the Gita,quotes Jesus as saying I am the way, the life and the Truth, implying hat he is God Granted, the Gita might have preceded the New Testament, but is one, Jesus or Krishna a liar ? You are making the same mistake the Christians make abt Jesus byt associating a physical personality with the Absolute. While it may facilate devotion to a particular form, it non the less has created sectarian violence. Krishna being such a colourfull personality is no doubt a popular subject of devotion and numerous devotees have worshipped him as God. That is not to say, that the one God should only be worshipped in one form or with no form. Bottom line, it does not matter if you call God, Krishna, Allah, Jesus or Shiva. There is only 1. While you will probably disagree with this view, by quoting the Gita viz reference to Dieties or Demigods as ISKON refers to,,,the notion is quite simple..He who worships a diety with a purpose of reward will go to the abode of the diety, but he who worships Me,( for mine own sake) comes to Me. It was Ramakrishna who said that God assumes a form that is crystallised by the devotion of the devotee.
