Hello members

I would like to have the birth details of full time astrologers on the list and i want to see if there is link of eight house with tenth house in their chart, as i have direct link of eight house with tenth house and i am full time into this i.e. i am earning money only from astrology and other occult subjects . Let us see if any other astrologer who is into full time astrologer is having this combination or not

I will be adding their chart on the web site with both ayanamsha like i did in this case http://www.occultwizard.com/aushotosh.htm

Let us discuss this aspect that an full time astrologer has a link of tenth house with eight house or not

best wishes

It is not about right or wrong necessarily. Tenth house is indeed

associated with karma and that includes the vocation and profession,

however the clear association does not always show up in the chart.

House of income often has a say too as well as other houses.

It is not safe to use the single factor as you utilized to consider it

as a definitive proof that an ayanamsha works or not.

I am not sure if Ashutoshji is on the list or not or actively so,

hence it would not be proper of me to talk about his horoscope any

further. You are not bound by my code of conduct, of course!

When we calculate your chart it shows that you have eight lord and tenth lord combined and this aspect come from both lahiri and mine ayanamsha. If you want to add your page in the web site you can send me more details about your self what you do and what style of astrology practise you do and from how many years you have been into astrology field any good introduction in the group will also solve the purpose

It is very good that this community have a list of good astrologers which will benfit the astrology as an subject

When we calculate your chart it shows that you have eight lord and tenth lord combined and this aspect come from both lahiri and mine ayanamsha. If you want to add your page in the web site you can send me more details about your self what you do and what style of astrology practise you do and from how many years you have been into astrology field any good introduction in the group will also solve the purpose

It is very good that this community have a list of good astrologers which will benfit the astrology as an subject

Dear Yogita ji,

While your strong passion for, knowledge of and a substantial lineage

in the field of jyotish is there, you are obviously not earning your

living from astrology. This thread started with the contention that a

full-time astrologer would be one who is a professional and thus

earning a livelihood from astrology.

And yet in your case this combination, the joining of lords of 8th and

10th which is being proposed as a sine qua non for an astrologer here

does show up. And yet you are not earning your livelihood from

astrology and surely your research in the pharmaceutical area must be

taking a lot of your time and attention!

The tenth house is the house of karma and has somehow become a primary

marker of one's profession! It very well describes your intense

association with jyotish almost in a karmic manner. It is important to

note that.

As far as this 8th house 10th house postulate is being explored, wise

researchers or at least cautious researchers would note that the 8th

represents occult but also other areas, such as research which is a

field you are in. It would also cover a huge variety of occultism

related areas and not just astrology, let alone jyotish!

Since this is becoming such an important issue here in some quarters,

I ran a search through 18536 good quality natal charts and here are

the findings:

3845 cases had R8 aspecting R10

2724 cases had R8 in the same sign as R10

That seems to be a high proportion in the mixed subgroup to be a

reliable identifier of a specific profession such as FULL-TIME JYOTISH

would be! Or even if all occultism were lumped together, which would

be simply silly given the very different modalities used in the

different divinatory crafts. Unless someone is using intuition alone

and in that case the horoscope just becomes a sensory attachment point

while the inner-spirit does the work, if you catch my drift.

Oh and another thing -- the subset of 3845/2724 charts had all kinds

of profession (FULL TIME) including army people, poets, musicians,

vendors, scientists, journalists, lawyers, many actors,

sportspersonalities.

CAVEAT EMPTOR (BUYER BEWARE!) or maybe I should say:

CAVEAT RESEARCHER!

Since you are a jyotishi, you must be aware of this based on your

chart and you may already be doing this --> It will be beneficial to

you to give astrological readings in charity, for free. Not 100% of

times but a certain portion of your readings.

Good luck and much success.

Dear RR and other friends,

First things first, this is the season

for celebrations.Let me wish you all members/families "May The Year

@007 Bring Abundance into your lives."

I read with interest the combination

of 8thand 10th lords as a prerequisite for full time astrologer

earning a living on astrology.

Having read Ms Yogitha's notes,I

thought I might pitch in. I am a Taurus Lagna person, having both

Saturn(9/10th lords) and Jupiter(8/11th Lords)in Lagna.

I am not a practising Astrologer at

all,I am in the sunset years of my life, and dabble in astrology as a

healthy side activity apart from others.I am a student of astrology

in the true sense.

Where do I fit in the theory

propounded?

Regards,

Satish

Satish ji,

Season's Greetings to you and your loved ones!

This 8/10 thing is not my theory, by the way. How I feel about it and

some data has been included in my response to Yogita ji a few messages

earlier. Please peruse that when you have the time.

There are problems with one size fits all type of combinations in

jyotish and other astrologies. I feel it my duty to caution against

these, as you may have noticed from time to time. Jyotish is simply

not that black and white or simplistic.

Ideal way of coming up with good novel research is to start with some

logical hypothesis, which is generally done. However, the next step

must be rigorous research with charts. Only then must come a

pronouncement with some validation. Stating a theory and then

beginning to look for charts to prove the same is not the right

approach. I only hope that serious researchers in jyotish do not do that!
