I am a new member of the group and right in the begining I have come across a series of message on Kal Sharp Yogam in jyotish.

I dont think it is compulsory that we should abide by the yogas and their names mentioned in ancient granthas. Every astrologers has to study a number of jataks in his carrier and his work is something more than that of telling the yogas and their effects mentioned in the books. If I am granted, let me tell you that study of astrology means study of particular situation of planets and other celestial bodies that effects or affects the universe along with all concious and un concious beings in it.

Very unfortunately the astrologers have taken it to study the books, make general prediction on the clients and by suggesting remedies to them they find it all over of their duties.

May I ask a question mr. Gouravji MOON - Chandrama is not a planet as science has proved it. It is a setelite i.e. Sub planet of Earth. But we are still taking chandra for planet. I dont know you believe it or not but scientists have walked over the surface of moon and they are talking about mars and jupiter for the same. But the tradition of moon worshiping may not be stoped only because of it. Moreover mantras of moon are still proving effective, that means that these mantras used conventionally are effective not only psychologically but they have scientific reasons for effect in them. Had they been effective only psychologicaly it would have showm no effect as soon as man has come to know that Niel Armstrong has walked on the moon surface.

I am trying to convince you that every pooja going on as a tradition has the reasons that might be proved scientifically but for the common man the Rishies - the researchers have wrapped these in Dharmic cover.The same is with KSY Pooja as well. It has an effect over subconsious of the suffere and changes his aura to fight with the drawbacks of the goga.

One more question - you would have recited your school prayer daily in the school, but have you recited the same prayer somewhere else with the same feeling? why? because the place where students get collected at a particular time of day for a particular type of work and the place exerts a particular type of energy at that particular time making people feel the power of their words and deeds. the same is the matter with the temples and pooja sthanaks as these places are constructed according to the reqirements of collection of spirutual energy and echoing of it in multiplication. I take it very unfortunate that either the Pujaries have corrupted the places or people who love logic to be used imprudently against the most tolerating hindu dharma thinking that it has no body to resist strongly pour redicule upon it. Still the importance of place is not lost because it has accumulated so much of possitivity in it that in even centuries it might not be ended. It is importance

of place that millions of people get gathered at KUMBH MELA without invitation or advertisement and gain spiritual energy inspite of the corruption of fake Sadhus and Immorality of foreign visiters.

Coming to BOOKS I dont have a least hesitation to say that the rich ancient knowlwdge of India has lost it's ground because we the people who call overselves schollers, the researchers and the Pandits have confined overselves in the pages of books available easily in the market and in doing so we are making a great harm to the knowledge. Had Ratherford stoped himself b'cas their was no word like Electron or Proton Or Neutron in the books of Science available at that time or if Marie Curie had stoped because their was no word like Radium or X-ray in the books, we have not been able to talk over mail like this. Think of the time when books and printing was not so easily available in our country. At that time the Jyotishies studied by their own, made a record of the yogas and given their names for their own convinience. I may have a number of situations called yogas that have no name in books but in my own studies I have seen them making creatin effect on people. Can one say

that he will not believe all these yogas tested by the learned gurus and time only because they dont have a place by the same name as I know it.

At last I like to request all the eminent Pandits who often say that such or such planet situated in this or that house is doing so for you or making such a harm to you, particularly The Saturn or Rahu - Ketu is doing wrong to you. Sirs. No planet does any thing for any one; rather the situation of the planet indicates the haps and mishaps in the life of the jatak and it prompts the remedied for the problems as the worshiping of that planet with mantras, ratna , herb, colour, fragrence or things like that can make a megical change and the person will be saved from the losses. So , I think, we should stop saying that such or such planet situated in this or that house is doing so for you or making such a harm to you, instead we should say that the situation of the planet indicates so and thus use the rituals related to the planet and be out of trouble or enhance the good in your life. We the Pandits and Jyotishies have to worship these NAVGRAHAS. We ought not to defame them

by saying that they make harm to people. They are the Deities who show the PRARABDH of the Jatak. I dont know from where this has started but I can say that this is is the practice that has defamed Indian Astrology at the greatest.

To be a scholar means nither to believe nor to dismiss. It is to study and on the basis of it favour or disfavour humbly.

Instead of calling the names lets discuss some new yogas in Jyotish b'cas today we have a wide area for our studies, research and discussion.
