Ishta Devata

 

The concept of Atma daksina or the sacrifice where one gives (12th house) oneself as the daksina is associated with the Ishta Devata who sits in the 12th house from Karakamsa (in Navamsa) to receive this daksina.

 

Sanjay Rath ji says If there is no planet in the 12 H from Karakamsa, then planetary aspect is to be considered first and then Lord of the house, this is the dictum followed in Varga charts for determining deities.

 

It is Saturn who aspects Taurus Navamsa, the 12th Sign from Gemini, Gemini where Mars (AK) is Vargottama.
