Dear Tanvir, RR,

I am sure the source is always important [here suger cane juice the water, ice the way they beat it etc is visile in street corners is NOT WORTH IT but there are many juice joints or parlours across India. served in piped music and a/c rooms with a lot of interiors made to design.

btw Bengal has most of its underground water with Arcenc content more than permissible from what I know most of 65% of the bengal region so what makes any juice or Pepsi or Coke in that region is also contmnted

so is the water in Punjab abuse of fertilizers and pesticides have resulted in a watert able hight polluted that is why in India we blame Pepsi and Coke for selling fertiliser and pesticided not soft drinks POOR giuys they have systems to filter normal water pollutants not man made ones I guess at least now we know all we drink in INdia is polluted just the levels vvary depend son how much agriculture or Industry is around us.

god save us.

care of yourself Tanvir. Jaundice can put a very big toll on the body

because liver is such a critical organ. A note on sugarcane juice,

though (Hope Kumarji would not mind and not take it as a criticism).

My doctor friends told me that at least in India, Sugarcane juice that

was purchased from vendors was one of the common medium through which

infective hepatitis (presumably that is what you had, Tanvir) spreads

(contamination). So make sure you are getting the sugarcane juice

drawn at home and not from vendors.

I am sure your doctors are giving you good advice as to what to eat or

what not to and what to do etc. Follow their advice.

Returning to forum business -- I think one of the problems in this

forum is that it has many members and given the size and numbers,

there is no way there can be a central agenda or a narrow lane imposed

on so many. There will be people who would just want readings here,

there will be those who like applied scientists (doctors and engineers

for example) want only example horoscopes to be discussed and there

will be those who would be interested in philosophical aspects of

jyotish and those who would like to explore jyotish as an extension of

spiritual thought, either based on Hindu mythology or other branches

and there will be those who would want to share other stuff

(information about other webpages, about courses and retreats and

conferences or other workshops, etc)

If my two cents are worth even a penny in this forum, then all of

these facets of astrology are important, at least to those who fall in

one of those categories. All others should learn to be tolerant to

other people and learn to live together. Quite frankly, it would be

extremely selfish if one group or individual feels that only their

primary interest should be supported and catered to on a forum of so

many with so many different interests.

What will be next? Only horoscopes with mahapurusha yogas can be

discussed on this forum? Any horoscope except for those with KSY can

be discussed on this forum, just because a handful think that KSY does

not exist in reality?

Why can we not have a bit more tolerance for others and not be so

presumptive in our thinking? Unless those who are making such a strong

stance are sure that they know everything about astrology and can

dictate its boundaries and then judge other astrologers harshly and

call them names and question their morals?

Such rigidity must not be tolerated without giving adequate reasons

that prove that their stance is indeed correct.

Dear Rohiniranjanji,

Jaundice was incurable / Difficult to cure by allopathy, there are thousands of "Parallel Pathies" which have claimed that by their medicine / Technique jaundice was cured. Some results I heard were like miracles. But is any scientific research carried out about these remedies. Any placebo based double blind statistical analysis done ? I doubt.

But then still a very large percentage of mofusil population believes in these pathies which are not proven. Some of the roadside quacks actually put high potency steroids in the Capsules and patient get miraculous reliefs temporarily.

We will have to take care on forum like JR we do not recommend anything which is not proven.

Anil

First steps first, Gogteji!

Jaundice is a sign, not a disease! ;-)

Several "remedies" may have been proposed here, I have not read them

and I for sure am no Sheila Sherlock!

Internet perhaps would be a good begining, I humbly submit.

;-)

dear learned members,

Liver is one of the best organ in the humans which

constantly works and if its job has to be done outside

the human system u may have to imagine at least 100

chemical factories to run and convert the various

chemicals in our body. such a complex organ is

bestowed with a wonderful capacity to function with

20% of it functional. In case of cirhossis even 80% of

the liver is damaged still 20% is sufficient to take

care of the complex functions. that is the gift from

God. Probably he must have known that this organ will

be abused by Humans. Even in liver transplant they

take only 30% healthy liver from the donor.

with good wishes to all of u for a health and happy

2007.
