Guest guest
Dear RS ji, As you have mentioned that the gems found in market contain many flaws and a good quality gem costs around 6,000-7,000 per carat, so a whole gem will cost ABOVE 30,000 for a person to wear. Normally, whenever people seek consultation from astrologers, every astrologers suggest people to wear one or more gems for remedy. At such, normal people won't be able to afford good quality gems so they will have to buy gems which are available openly in market. Then the question comes as what is the use of wearing gems that will not help in astrological remedies. So will it make any difference whether people wear gems with flaws or do not wear gems at all? Because in both the case, the result is same. So to get actual benefit, one will have to spend more than 30,000 which will be beyond a normal person's affordability. Even, presently, I am wearing Cat's Eye for the last 1 year given to me by one of the astrologer. It cost around 500-1,000 so I believe this is not also a pure gem. Why did I wear the gem was because at that time my sister was admitted in hospital and she was in coma for 6 months. For her well-being, I had consulted that astologer cum tantrik for some remedial measures for her. And he also suggested me to wear Cat's Eye. Hoping for positive results for me and well-being of my sister, I wore it but after few months my sister died. However, I am still wearing it on my little finger od right hand in a silver ring and I haven't seen any benefit from it. Now, when I consulted few astrologers, different people have suggested me different gems. I was suggested Pearl/Ruby/Yellow Sapphire/Emerald/Red Coral and Rudraksha as well. So it is very confusing. And I don't even like wearing rings coz it makes me uneasy on fingers. If I really need to wear a gem, then I can use it in a chain around my neck. But again the question arises is which gems to use out of many suggested for me and even if I am ready to wear it, I cannot afford a genuine gem which will cost such a huge amount of money, alternately resulting in me to buy a normal gem available in the market which will not cost much. So at this stage, what is your suggestion for a normal person like me who can't either afford a good quality gem or if I go for average gem available in market, as you have said, it won't help in astrological remedy? So if you can afford, you can wear yellow sapphire weighing 7-8 carats. Some try to equalize the quality with the quantity and thus, prefer to wear heavy weigth gems in order to have more impact, which I do not believe in. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rajan S Malla First of all, let me clear it again, I said QUOTE Gems which are usually available in the open markets contain many flaws which are to be avoided while using the gem for astrological purpose. UNQUOTE That is usually, not always. And the usualness is more prominent in case of people visiting markets and purchasing gems without any knowledge of gems and mere on the recommendations of the seller/jeweller/shopkeeper. The flaws in the gems are of two types one pure gemological and the second is gemological as well astrological. A Yellow Sapphire having gemological value around 10000 rupees per carat may not be suitable for astrological purpose while another Yellow Sapphire having gemological value around 1000 rupees per carat can have moderate strength if it fulfils the astrological requirements. The gemological flaws and their influence is evaluated by the people in the Market who are there to sell their gems and they may easily disguise a common man having no or very little knowledge about gemology by saying that these are inclusions and are indicative of naturality in gem. For example, the silky effect in gems is considered to be having more gemological value while as per astrological evaluation it has nothing to do with it. Even black spots on gems are said to be indicative of their originality. Some gemological flaws can be ignored if the gem fulfils the astrological requirements. For example, Ruby. Most of the rubies (Maniks) available in the market are found having black spots behind the plate and it does not have more influence on its gemological value in its range. That i.e. you have to choose the gem having no black spots at all which normally is not welcomed by the seller and he will be giving you a lecture and influencing your choice. While a rough plate ruby can have decreased market value, but if it is clean i.e. without black spots and translucent it can be used for moderate strength. Your observation regarding affordability of a common man in regards to good quality gems is absolutely correct. But just think it other way round. Every astrologer would like to provide ample amount of benefit to the person approaching him in need. And, therefore, he will be giving his best in analysing the chart and recommending the solution which may involve wearing of a gem stone. Generally but not every astrologer, leave it to the querrent to purchase the gem. Some astrologers do provide gems but most of them depend upon the wisdom of the jeweller from whom they (astrologers) purchase gems for further selling. For your information, during the year 2004, I attended a small course on gems and jewellery designing in FICCI-Delhi and it has been claimed by the person organizing the course that around 90 percent of the local jewellers in Delhi are ignorant about actual gemological knowledge and continuiing their business mere on the basis of experience and mixed knowledged gathered through surroundings. And this fact is accepted by almost all present there. Every astrologer, as a human being, would like to feel and experience the results of his/her efforts in providing the relief to the querrent. But all his efforts can go waste giving him a bad name if the quality of the gem fails to fulfil the astrological requirements. It is only because of this reason I, personally, avoid taking such risks and on the first instance always recommend a good quality gem. The prices of the gems are not decided by the astrologers and we have no choice except accepting it. Not all gems are costly. Coral and Pearl can easily be afforded by a common man. Ruby and Emerald of moderate strength can also be chosen within the range of a common man. While on the other side sometimes Ruby and Emerald were found to be more costly then Diamond, Yellow and Blue Sapphire. Original Lasonia i.e. Crysoberyl Cat's Eye is quite costly. In my personal opinion, which may or may not differ from others, gem stones are worn to increase the impact of a benefic planet in the nativity. On the other side, the remedial measures are supposed to dilute the malefic impact of planet(s). Therefore, if one can not afford the original gem he can use its substitute with the understanding that the impact will be quite slow and less in comparision to the original gem required for the purpose. Further, he can perform remedial measures. The very beauty of the astrology is that astrological analysis in itself works as a remedy in most of the cases. For example, if one is informed regarding some bad period in recent future, the person automatically remains alert ceasing the malefic influence to take over its personality. I would suggest you to wear Red Coral along with Pearl which are not costly. Secondly, you should concentrate more on propitiation of Rahu (whose Mahadasa is going on ) which is placed in 8th house of your natal chart; propitiation of the Sun afflicted by aspect of ketu in the 10th house of your natal chart; propitiaion of Ketu making close conjunction with Moon in 2nd house; and propitiation of Venus dispositor of MD Lord Rahu placed in 9th house and causing affliction to its dispositor Mars through aspect. The general remedial measures for these planets can be: Sun: Offering water to the Sun daily in the morning. Offering soaked wheat to cows/other animals on Sundays. Rahu Offering prayers to Lord Bhairo Offering Green Coconut in Bhairo Temple once in a week. Offering sugar mixed with black sesame (kale til) to ants/insects on Fridays. Ketu Offering foods to stray dogs as and when possible. Venus Offering Rice, Sugar and Camphor at religious places/Temples once in a week preferably on Friday. Distribute Kheer among poor/needy people, beggars, handicapped persons once in a month as per your affordability. Best wishes RS Global Astrologers www.globalastrologers.com - Rajan S. Guest guest
Dear RS ji, Thanks for your clarification on gems. It seems it will be very difficult to choose gems and one will have to use intuition in choosing the right gem. As for your suggestion to me, how can I distinguish genuine Pearl and Coral and what is their probable cost? What rattis of these gems should I wear? Do I need to wear Emerald and Yellow Sapphire as others have suggested? And can I wear the gems along with rudraksha in a golden chain (to avoid wearing in rings)? What is the procedure for wearing these gems? Can I just buy these gems and wear by myself or is there any mantras should I recite to propitiate these gems before wearing? Nowdays the most important phase of problem I am facing is with my career. I am going through mental and physical problems in my current job. I am planning to change the current job and either go for a new job (interested to get a job in non-profit organizations) or start my own business. Even I am planning to start a NGO for street children providing shelter. What is your advice regarding my career? Will I change my current job? If so, when and what will be my next career path? Hoping to get advice from you. Guest guest
Rajan "As for your suggestion to me, how can I distinguish genuine Pearl and Coral and what is their probable cost? What rattis of these gems should I wear?" One can purchase gem stones from a reputed/authenticated jeweller or astrologer in stead of troubling the intuitive faculty> You can do some crash coursh on gemology and you will be able to distinguish. The minimum weight for coral is 6 carats and for pearl is 5 carats. "Do I need to wear Emerald and Yellow Sapphire as others have suggested?" I have already given my opinion in this regard. Hence, no comments what other learned astrologers suggested? "And can I wear the gems along with rudraksha in a golden chain (to avoid wearing in rings)? " Yes you can wear these with Rudraksha. What is the procedure for wearing these gems? Can I just buy these gems and wear by myself or is there any mantras should I recite to propitiate these gems before wearing? Either way. You can contact some local Karma-kandi Pundit ji for detailed procedure, in this regard. Your Rahu/Mercury has started from Oct 2006 and will remain effective till mid April 2009. During this period, you can have desirable change in your profession with some obstructions/limitations. It seems it will be very difficult to choose gems and one will have to use intuition in choosing the right gem. Best regards, Rajan vedic astrology, "R S" <globalastrologers wrote: > > Dear Mr. Rajan S Malla > > First of all, let me clear it again, I said > QUOTE > Gems which are usually available in the open markets contain many > flaws which are to be avoided while using the gem for astrological > purpose. > UNQUOTE > That is usually, not always. > > The general remedial measures for these planets can be: > > Sun: Offering water to the Sun daily in the morning. > Offering soaked wheat to cows/other animals on Sundays. > Rahu Offering prayers to Lord Bhairo > Offering Green Coconut in Bhairo Temple once in a week. > > > Best wishes > > RS > Global Astrologers > www.globalastrologers.com > > - > Rajan S.
