Guest guest
Dear "poster" So -- are you implying that Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, the Guru of Swami Vivekananda who shook the Chicago religious congregation years before you were probably born or even conceived (!) and one who created the Ramakrishna Mission which still survives and all these members who begin their messages and postings on this and many other fora with an expression to respect to 'Sri RamaKrishna' here and elsewhere are really mistaken? In the light of your revelation? I thank you for bringing your concerns to the fore and in the open. I think you are wrong in that you are looking for answers to your personal questions in what others said, be it Ramakrishna or Raman Maharshi or Lord Shri Krishna in Gita or Bhaghwata! We still get born, thousands of years after our EPICS were written or other shastras, including JYOTISH! That should be a strong hint that what was WRITTEN was not enough! WE MUST LIVE IT DAILY! OR SOME OF US WILL CONTINUE TO BE CONFUSED AND WONDER IF HEMP WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DRUG THAT COVERS OUR INADEQUACIES OR A FIBRE THAT CAN CREATE THE CLOTHING THAT WILL COVER OUR SHAME AND LET US GET ON WITH OUR LIVES -- THE IMPORTANT PARTS OF IT! Guest guest
Well im not implying in any way that he is born or not, in fact i believe he is an avatar.I have very high regards of him of enlightening us to follow the path of Bhakti in this age.But in material sense,he is seen as born and dies like we all trapped in the illusory world does but in the absolute realtiy his existence is proved through his movement and disciples and teachings. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa respects everyone without discriminating anyone. But he have spoken and talked to sadhus that indulge themselves in Hemp an claim themselves as self realized souls. I would simply like to know if this is authorized and isnt this a harmful way to reach self realization when your soul is actually tainted whereby you cannot be liberated even with a tinge of pleasure and dependency in the material world. Guest guest
Poster, Ramaskrishna (Gadadhar ji) is recent enough for anyone who is awake to not have any doubts about his being someone who 'walked amongst us' stealing a phrase from Einstein who said those words about Gandhi! AND I know we are talking about Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa who has been quite unusual in recent times and attacked with labels and innuendos of many kinds even on this forum and many other more (their adjective!) 'hindu' forums/fora if I may dare say so! I recall Sri KN Rao once posting on Ben Collins' jyotish forum about Swami Vivekananda being somewhat partial to smoking tobacco and also using several different names during a period of his spiritual growth when he felt like soing that! Since I am neither a devotee of Swami Vivekananda or his Guru, I will leave any further discussions of those reported facts to those who feel necessary to justify two recent saints and luminaries !
