Many people in this world when they have the grace of Maa Lakshmi and get a lot of money, they tend to go into bhog vilas...and forget god....but there are very few who still are devoted to god even after having a lot of money...those people are really great... Now about Shanidev, He is actually a mentor, he creates such situations in front of you in his dhayya(small panoti) and sade-sati, that he forces a person to kneel knees down in front of god for help, and that increases his devotion. But there are many fools who go the other way in sade sati like drinking alcohol , smoking, adultery, and anger due to frustration. Poor souls. starnge is the way or should i say the play of god??!! They say that worshipping Lakshmi Maa only is not that effective as she is very chunchul in hindi or should i say swift. She dosent stay at one place for long. But if you worship her husband Lord Vishnu/Narayan, then where her lord resides there she also stays.
