Guest guest
In past you have asked about so many disease conditions including weight loss. Premature graying hair is a popular problem for a drug manufacturer, not for patients.. It would have been better if you would have searched archives of group before asking the querry. Anyway, having said so much author feels like discussing your querry too! The reason for graying hair is lack of adequate nutrient circulation to hair roots. It is also premature ageing sign, if occurs before age 30. Another word for ageing is Vata, also means loss of dhatus. Hair health is an indicator of Ojas too, look at Baba Ramdev for instance. Excess pleasure, lack of exercise, circulation, etc many reasons can be given for dhatu loss. Dhatus sublimate under excess pitta heat. certain hormones must be present in adequate quantity to keep hair smooth, shining and black. Good amount of estrogen is seen to keep hair long, shiny, thick and black as coal tar. Some women from villages of northern states have surprised this author by their hair health. Some tips: 1. Use Bhringaraj oil and anti-pitta herbs, lifestyle (early morning walk on wet grass, etc) See: http://health.ayurveda/message/3769 2. Mineral deficiency as a result of natural diuretucs such as Tea/coffee. Minearl unbalance. Reduce salt and spicy items. 3. Use shoulder stand: 4. Fruit juices, esp aamla+honey has beneficial effect. The Medha Rasayanas such as Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, Vacha etc and Brahmi Ghrutam etc are also useful under supervision. 5. Most important, breathing techniques are a drugless approach to increase nutrition to brain. Go to some guru and learn. 6. You read about Arnika oil but did not follow the advise. Do something and share experience. 7. There are many messages earlier on how to build dhatus in body. Follow those dietary guidelines. All cooling diets may add Kapha, and hair grow prfusely under these conditions. But to make them black, the glow of "Shukra" dhatu has to be there! ayurveda, "Vivek Agarwal" <agravivek wrote: > Is there any good & only effective way to prevet White hair.. > Can any one tell remedy for this.... > I think this is very popular problem... Guest guest
Hi Vivek, This is Dr.Nidhi Joshi,an Ayurvedic Physcian.I read your post.....well it indeed is an popular problem.Firstly let me tell you what causes premature gryeing of hair:- 1.Firstly it is a sign of aggravated pitt dosh in an individuals body. 2.Also it is sign of dhatu kshya...which is caused by aam.Which is due to faulty eating habbits. 3.Firstly the individual needs to adopt some major but easy to follow life style modifications. 4.Also some yogas are very helpfull.........but should be done under expert supervision.Asanas like shirsana, sharvangasana. 5.Apart from that if looking for temporary methods you can use natural colouring agents like henna, amla, brahmi. All of these give a good colou as well as texture to your hair and also benefit you in many ways. 6.Also i will like to know what kind of nature you have, are you very short tempered. 7.What kind of food habbits do you have.....which rasa dominates your diet:-madhur(sweet),amla(sour),lavan(salty),katu(hot or spicy),tikt(pungent),kashaya(astringent). 8.Also if u have any other ailments.Do let me know. 9.Apart from that u can try some rasayan dravyas or rasayan yogs....they will surely help you. 10.Also you can try oils made at home with bhavanas of keshya dravays. 11.Also reduce intake of foods aggravating pitt. 12.Take syrups like chandanasava that help reduce pitt dosh in body. Also local application of aloe vera can be helpfull. But pls make sure it suits you. Thanks, Dr.Nidhi Joshi(B.A.M.S,N.D)

Guest guest
Dear Nidhi & other peers, From quite long I have been reading mails regarding "remedy for white hair". First, I am not from any type medical world but keenly interested in mails related to Health. All discussion are based on curifying the body or products externally applied. Has anyone ever thought about the "Point-Effective" Pills which can be swallowed and get hair blackened? meaning of point effective refers to the area under effect -skin and hair without spoiling their original quality of growth. To get white hairs a long time is taken by body. Can we reverse the process of whitening to blackening again? Or inactivation of head area (as we massage the head skin only when we put any oil or in massage parlour/home) for long time may be one the reasons of hair fall, reduction in growth rate and finally complete stoppage of growing hair and whitening it. In urban areas because of too much pollution , we may be inhalling many pollutants which affect the skin and hair growth and formation. But what about rural where pollution is less (pollutants present in fertilizers meant for agriculture). Any thought?? Golden Balls. Hi Rajan, I dont mind telling you the receipe but do you think you will get all herbs needed for the same.
Guest guest
ayurveda, Sukhi Sran <sukhirs wrote: > Q. How to make Oils at home. Can you give recipes and ingredients. If there is no other specific reason, problems such as hair loss, premature graying/brownish tinge, brittleness etc, hair oil alone will minimise, said Acharya Vagbhat millenium ago. Though there may be slight variations in oil making procedures, more or less, the common procedure is described at: [url="http://message/1210"] Author would like to suggest one difference from the above procedure. If you make the oil on larger scale, ensure that water part gets boiled out completely. This may need more time, as heat must be simmering only. Minimise bubbles, just a little vapor comin out. The contents of the herbs will differ depending on individual constitution, purpose etc. Most of the herbs in organic form are available in U.S.A. from banyan-botanicals.com, just a click away. On the other hand, as recent messages show, sending through couriers has become extremely complex. as stated earlier, there can be other reasons for premature graying, and often the nutritional deficiencies/processing of minerals such as magnesium, selenium, sulfur are found to cause hair loss/premature graying. The deficiencies/excesses in blood are seen as pitta in ayurveda, and many processes in brain secreting neurotransmitters such as seretonin, melanin, dopamine, myelin etc are governed by adequacy/inadequacy of 24 essential amino acids and glucoproteins and minerals in diet. Even Autism/ADD are linked to the neurotoxins. Couple this with the quality of sleep that we get in noise and chemical smoke filled air that we breath. The incidence of premature gray hair is found more in cities for this reason. Modern science suggests that chromosomal degenration occurs when a mother conceives after age 35. All these facts make premature graying a complex subjcet, and simple remedies such as hair oil may not give much success. Rather a multifacetted approach including lifestyle and yoga etc needs to be taken. One more observation that premature graying seems to be hereditary as much as PCOS is. Thus the deficinecy of a rare mineral (e.g. selenium, chromicum) which comes in the sperm/ovum appears to continue to next generation. Looking at PCOS also from the same viewing glass, Dhatukshaya should be avoided, as author views PCOS also as disturved Dhatubuilding process. The Meda dhatu not getting adeqately transformed to Rajas/Veerya, causing sperm inadequacy or multiple immature cysts.
Guest guest
Hello Dr. Joshi I am new to this group and I have the same problem since I was 13 now I am 22. I live in the United States and I have used different hair oils, such as amla and coconut to see just a slight change not much. I also purchased hair oil from Swami Ramdev called Divya Kesh Tail and I have been using it for a while still i see no difference. BTW is that oil safe to use? Not only that I have been doing aasans and pranayams regularly and still no major difference. Also I have started rubbing my nails together which he says works to cure white hair but again nothing. Is it possible you can send me the link for the recipe I am in desperate need. Thanks, Tarun
