Guest guest
Namaste Richika, The Puranas were written thousands of years ago and although we follow them as a sacred rule of thumb, during modern times mankind generally wear mixed color beads regardless of caste. This has the same benefit whichever color they obtained or are chosen for them. To find out the caste, I think a Vedic astrologer should be able to determine it (however I may be wrong about this). Alternatively, a lot of people go by caste names like "Iyer" (Brahmin Caste). If you use a search engine to look up Indian surnames and type in words such as "Shatriya Surnames", there are lots of listings. In any case, color and caste during modern times do not make a difference. Why? A person in the Brahmin profession of a high scholar may have the nature of a chandala. A Shudra washing toilets may happen to possess the noble nature of a Brahmin. In Kali Yuga, we just never know until we come across such persons and believe me, there are a lot out there. To many of us here, color, creed, religion and caste is no obstacle to seeking or worshipping Lord Shiva and rudraksh. What matters most is sincere bhakti (devotion) and faith. Hope this helps Ommmmm , Richika Naik <richu209 wrote: > > Dear Om > Namaste, I came to know from your society that if a particular colour of rudraksha is used by that particular person (i mean a brahmin, shatriya, vaishya or sudra) than that it is more effective. But if a particular person does not know to which category he belongs then which colour bead to be used.Does colour really makes a difference.Or how to find the category. > > Regards > Richika -richu209
