Sapphire is worn in middle finger because the corresponding mount is the mount of Saturn. Yellow Sapphire in Index finger because the base of Index finger is the mount of Jove, Sun in the ring finger because the finger is located above the mount of Apollo. The tiny finger is located on the mount of Mercury. What about Rahu, Ketu, Moon? You can wear them on fingers of the mitra planets. The fleshy mount at the base of the thumb is none other than fhe mount of Venus. Diamond is most auspicious to wear on the thumb. I believe you can verify the details in Samudrika Shastra.
