Hindu way of living does not encourage a Lady living in her widowhood; they thought husbandless life is scentless life. “Suttee” [Ladies sacrifice their lives in the funeral fire pyre of their husband] was in practice before the advent of ‘Modern India’.

Hindu way of living has its roots in Vedas and its different branches. Vedic –Astrology is said to part of Vedanga; The Rishis,the fathers of Vedic-Astrology presumably incorporated ‘Manglic’ theory in Vedic-Astrology in avoidance of “Suttee”[ human sacrifice] and They with their foresightedness concluded that one of the cause for such premature death of ‘husband’/’Kartha’ in a family is the girl being ‘Manglic ’.

You would agree that death lay its icy hands on every body with out any exception, neither the husband nor the wife welcome separations of their beloved, but however Hindus more specifically Hindu women welcome their passing way prior to their husbands; hence Vedic-Astrologers uses Manglic as a tool to filter husband’s death the taking place prior to their sweet hearts..

You may ponder to ask whether Astrological predictions are accurate to its cent- percent. But I would say that there may be unavoidable errors on the part of Astrologers too. I always remember the words of Mahakavi Kalidas that who except the creator could predict accurately? I believe that Human endeavors could only give a sketch of future but could not pin point the future.
