Guest guest
Dear Chann, I looked at your chart. I did not understand how vyatipata yoga is applicable to your chart. Besides, I notice that your Venus occupies 12th house in Navamsa. This is a very bad placement as far as marital bliss is concerned. In general people with this combination either get married very late or never get married at all! Even if they get married, there will not be much happiness in married life. Just quote some examples we have some noted personalities who have this combination: - Lata Mangeshkar - Atal Bihari Vajpeyee - Ramakrishna Paramahamsa - Sarada ma Probably, it is an indication for you to focus on much higher things in life and not worry too much about marriage, like ordinary people do. I wish you all the best. I am sure you will put effort to transform your current goals in life into more meaningful and things at a different plane. You seem to have the necessary skills. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, //I looked at your chart. I did not understand how vyatipata yoga is applicable to your chart.// Vyatipata is one of the 27 yogas determined by the distance between Sun and Moon. Moon travels 13º 20' away from the Sun each day and each of these 13º 20' sections, linked to a particular nakshatra, form a yoga. Some are benefic in nature and others malefic. It would be helpful to know what date the marriage took place, however, it seems the dasa would have been Rahu and, more than likely, Rahu was transiting lagnesh Mars (in 9th) in sign of Jupiter at the time. First and foremost, I'm sure we're all familiar with the principle that what Rahu gives is not lasting. Secondly, Divine planet Jupiter, significator of happiness, dispositor of lagna lord and lord of 9th, is a functional benefic for this lagna whilst Venus, significator of spouse, is a functional malefic...malefic to the ascendant and therefore malefic to the native. Note Venus, a natural enemy of Jupiter, has become Jupiter's bitter enemy due to conjunction. Guest guest
Dear Krishnaji, Sorry to reply out of turn. Just Trying to make it easy for Mrs.Wendy. I do not think Nakshatra has any say here. (You may correct me if I am wrong.) The Yogas have to be calculated just with the Nirayana Moon and Sun Degrees. Out of 27 Dainik Yogas , the 17th Yoga is Vyatipata Yoga. We will take an example. Nirayana Moon- Libra 06s 15' 16' 33' Nirayana Sun Aries 00s 21' 25' 37' 12 signs + 360' 27 Yogas = 360' 1 Yoga + 13'20 Equation of Yoga =(Sun + Moon) divided by 800'(Minutes) The Sum of Sun and Moon degrees in above example, if we convert into minutes comes to 13002 and divided by 800 comes to 16.25 which means 16th Yoga is over and the 17th is running currently. The 17th Yoga is Vyatipata . This way Yoga for any day and any date/time may be checked. As I mentioned, if I am wrong, I may be corrected. Bhaskar. Guest guest
Dear Krishna and All, Some years ago I was introduced to the technique of Yogi and Avayogi planets by an Australian Astrologer called Andrew Lynn. He seems to have dropped out of site these days but some older members will remember him, I'm sure. His website is still available but the page relating to Yogi/Avayogi is no longer there (or I just haven't found it?). For those interested here is a link to his site: http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/skinbags/index.htm If I'm not mistaken the yogi point is a classical Nadi method of defining specific planetary yogas that correlate with prosperity...published by Seshadri Iyer (I believe). Basically, the ruler of the nakshatra (associated with the Dainik Yoga) becomes the yogi planet and the ruler of the 6th nakshatra therefrom becomes the avayogi. The principle is that the house where the yogi planet is placed gets enhanced (prospers) whereas the avayogi can cause trouble (obstacles). If I'm not mistaken Hart DeFouw has also popularised much of Iyer's work. Yoga - Nakshatra - Yogi Planet - Avayogi 1. Vishkumbha - Pushya - Saturn - Moon 2. Preeti - Ashlesha - Mercury - Mars 3. I havebeen searching for this book (Maybe not seriously). But it seems the Yogi and Avayogi point is very important. I think Mr.K.N.Rao too uses this technicque amongst others. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar, //Do let us know when you get some detailed information how to find these positions in the birth chart and how to use the knowledge for gauging the results.// To calculate the Yogi point, convert the Sun and Moon longitude's into 360 degree format, add them together and then add 93:20. The Nakshatra corresponding to this longitude is the Yoga point and its ruler is the Yogi. Taking your chart as an example: Sun at 12:55 Gemini converts to 72:55. Moon at 08:22 Sagittarius converts to 248:22. Adding these together we get 321:17. We then add 93:20 which gives us 414:37. Because this exceeds 360 degrees we must subtract 360 to arrive at a longitude of 54:37. The nakshatra corresponding to this longitude is Mrigishira. The yoga is Brahm and the yogi is Mars (ruler of Mrigishira). Count 6 nakshatras from Mrigishira (or simply add 186:40) and the ruler of this nakshatra is the Avayogi. In your chart this would be Magha ruled by Ketu. The Yogi is said to promote wealth and prosperity, while the Avayogi is adverse. For instance a Yogi who participates in Dhana Yoga's is helpful, while an Avayogi weakens the Yoga. Dasha's of Planets, associating with strong Yogi's will be wealth giving, while those with strong Avayogi's will be detrimental to prosperity. PS: Most astrology software will calculate these... Guest guest
Dear Rajat Ji, This was the question; I am also searching for an answer from learned people here. I read somewhere on the net, that, especially Rahu and Ketu being a shadowy planets these will exhibit/behave same as Rasi (House) lord where they are placed/occupy. Coming to Vyatipat Yoga, Rahu becomes a Yogi Planet for this yoga and in person's natal chart who is borne in this Yoga, Rahu is located in 8th House I,e Mars house. And in navamsa chart it the same!! Placed in 7th House (Scorpio). Lagna lord is also Mars And the House lord Mars is placed in 9th House (Jupiter) it is getting very interesting and my question is same how Rahu will behave? is Rahu gets the powers of Mars? Or its other way round? Wendy Madam, and other learned people please add your comments/Insights Regards Chann "When things can not be ended, should be Endured" jyotish-vidya, "vedvigyan" <bentleyclothing wrote: > > > Dear Mrs Wendy, > > I am writing after several days.
