Guest guest
Namaste Michael, There are several ways to utilize rudraksh beads in Pranic Healing work or any modality associated with Chi, Ki, Energy or Reiki. The simplest is 5 mukh beads as they help regulate all chakras. Five of the 5 mukhs can be placed, one each on the crown chakra, at the base of the hands and feet if the patient is lying down. Another energy layout is placing them on the body of the patient where the ailment is located -- in this case, its essential for the patient to purchase the 5 mukhs for themselves as the electromagnetic properties will assimilate with them as individuals. Using beads that had already been used on someone else is never advisable. This is to avoid disruption of energies (refer to second-last paragraph as well). No two patients have the same physical make-up so "Personal Beads" are required. Depending on the condition and ailment of the patient, we can also use a rudraksh mat or mattress for them to either sit or lay on. Its preferable for those with severe illnesses to lay on a rudraksh mattress. Place a couple of feather-down spreads on the rudraksh mattress, then cover it with a cloth of natural fiber such as cotton or linen. The patient should have a comfortable rolled-up towel to place his/her head upon. Note that "towel" is mentioned and not pillow. This is for reasons of hygiene - the towel used by each patient should be washed and sanitized at the end of the day. When the patient is relaxed, its ok to let them loosely hold one bead each of 5 mukh. (The fingers should not tighten up on the beads or palms or they would not relax properly.) Then commence your healing work as usual. It would be good to introduce patients to the wearing of rudraksh based on individual ailments. They can also wear pendants or malas. No, its not wise to use the same bead on multiple persons as the electromagnetic properties of the bead will shift from one to the other. Its very important to prevent physical (examples : dermatitis, dandruff and psoriasis), spiritual and "auric contamination" as some patients have minor problems while others may have major issues. That said, its fine to incorporate the use of crystals alongside rudraksh beads in Pranic Healing work although depending on the sizes and specimens of the crytals used, the speed of rudraksh beads usually have stronger vibrations. One way to determine between the 2 types of energies is by using a dowsing tool. With crystals, they can be used on multiple persons as crystals can be cleansed with salt, burying in the ground, placed on the window sill to catch the sun's rays or washed in ocean water. All these methods neutralize the previous patient's energies from the crystals. With rudraksh, they require oiling after washing with gentle soapy water. For the healer, a recommendation is to wear at least the beads of 9 mukh and 11 mukh to protect against absorbing negative energies from patients. These energies, if allowed to fester, may sometimes turn into loss of prana, physical weakness, symptoms of illness or psychic attacks if the healer is highly sensitive or vulnerable and who do not regularly maintain disciplines in pranic practice.
