Guest guest
Dear Sabine, I've thought about it since I posted a couple hours ago and I think what got to me was the photo that was posted on the MSN homepage after Mrs. Kim and her 2 kids were found. It was a photo of Mrs. Kim talking to a police officer (I think). The look of desperation on her face can't really be described by just "desperation". She had that look I imagine any of us would get when you'd give ANYTHING in the world to turn back time, to undo something, to go back to when someone you love was still alive, still unhurt. To before you did something horrible, or before the horrible was done unto you. That "oh please God" prayer that you can't whisper, you have to scream. And seeing that look, I hoped that just once Time would turn back for someone. You know it won't, somehow the desperation in her face was so severe that I kind of knew he was dead, but you hope against hope that just this once.... But it doesn't. And you feel that collective sorrow for all the times it hasn't and for all the desperate parents and children and lovers and friends who were stuck with a fate they couldn't face.
