A man, his wife and their 2 kids were driving thru Oregon and got stranded on a road that was closed for the winter. They burned the tires trying to stay warm. The husband left his family to try to find help. Help found the family huddled in the broken car, but the husband died alone in the wilderness. I feel bad. I don't know why this story affects me more than others you hear about, after all people are dying like flies all over the earth. There is so much to feel. It's just one of those situations where you think he was doomed no matter what he did. I mean, if he HADN'T left the car, he had to worry they wouldn't be found. How could he do nothing to save his wife and 2 kids? But to go alone into the cold wilderness, he had to know it was likely he'd die of the cold, that they would die of the cold, and that they wouldn't be together when they died. Now, the wife will always think, "if only I'd told him to stay..." I've heard this same story in every permutation. Someone leaves, someone dies. No one leaves, everyone dies. I wonder what I'd do in this man's situation. Probably go out into the cold. Maybe that's why I feel bad for him. I don't know. I don't even know why I'm writing this. Nothing astrological here as I don't know a darned thing about this man's chart. [see, this implies that if I knew his chart, I'd be briming with intelligent astrological things to say about it. Guest guest Posted December 7, 2006 Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 Dearest Mary, you are not the only one...this story also touched me deeply .i nearly cried when i heard today that he was found dead....deeply shocked by the death of a total stranger, who i hoped so badly would be found...maybe there is a clue...my strong wishes denied? but it is pretty useless to figure out why i felt so strongly in that case, while thousands around me suffer worst fate..its a compassion thing, this one that happend to penetrate my awareness - luckily only a small percentage of suffering around me is brought to my awareness or i would go insane..or more insane than i am already.. thank you das, for your beautiful poem, that expressed the same feelings along that line.... maybe one day we will find out more data of the kim family - and then we could start to wonder, if someone astrologer could have warned them - we could see the widow fate in the womans chart, his early death, the children without father and so on....all after the fact.. fate they had to fulfill/live.... my heart felt the same strange, shocking pain yesterday, when i was notified that an astrologer (tropical) here in town had died on sunday...the most positive, softspoken, wise and wonderful woman, whom i ran into every once in a while in the store etc - everytime it was treat for me, she was a strong ally on the same wavelength in a strange world ....she died while she was preparing the december forecast...smiled, bend over and left her body...her website: http://www.daykeeperjournal.com/ here are her last words: December is a bittersweet month. I live approx 60 miles from where they found him and have traveled that highway out of Grants Pass a couple times. I can vouch for the fact that it was very cold during the time that he got lost and the area is extreme wilderness. I live at approx 2600 feet, back in the forest and the temps at the time of the family disappearance were down in the mid to high '20's at night. He was around 3600 feet, so it's not hard to imagine how cold and miserable it was at that time. Some astro data: James Kim (August 9, 1971) no time or place. (I found an Email birthday greeting to Mr. Kim at a CNET site (where he worked) posted on August 9th) and other sites are posting 1971 for his birth year. So one might keep in mind this is a somewhat speculative date). He had a tight Sun/Saturn conjunction on his birthday for 2006. Saturn here also in exact degree conjunction/opposition to natal Ketu/Rahu and 2* off oppositon to natal Mars. He and his family became stranded late in the evening of November 25th approx 30 miles west of Grants Pass, Oregon. He set out alone on foot to get help at 7:45 AM December 2nd. Actually I remember hearing about MU in school. I didn't know it was short for Lemuria. I think I did some report on it (clearly didn't research that very well). Although I have to say that climbing a mountain just in case some ancient people (who might have gotten blasted off the face of the earth by extragalaxial dark forces) might be stopping by to pick up anyone at the Mt. Since you seem to have such a good sense of humor, I'll talk things over with my saucer friends (the Lemurians) and try to persuade them to give you a tour of Venus (or would you prefer Neptune?--I hear it's very nice this time of year).
