Guest guest
Hello everyone. I met chakrapani ji last night & we had a discussion on using planet's fixed ages ( 28 for mars, 42 for rahu and so on…) and combining this with transits from the lagna and the moon. This was his approach, I noticed the discussion going on currently so i thought i would share it here. Skeptics often (rightly?) point out that astrologers use hindsight to claim to have predicted a significant event, with so many Dasa and Vargas parameters it is easy to justify any event after you know "what" happened "when". This is exactly what has happened with modern western astrology, with so many aspects harmonics, parts and directions and solar arcs, everything can be very convincingly explained but only retro-actively. i.e. after it has happened. All methods work "some" of the time, we have to churn out those that work "most" of the time and personally I think the way to do this is by sharing what methods work best for us individually. Absolutely no offense to anyone on this forum, I deeply respect all your views. But we have 2 standard starting points when it comes to transits, the moon and the ascendant. Now its tempting to add more like the AL , the IL etc. or transits from D-9 , D-10 etc. but in my humble opinion this will only add more parameters which do not work consistently. It is a standard approach in western astrology to see the transits of planets w.r.t. natal positions, the ascendant and the M.C. . Also Arab &Greek astrologers used points like the "fortuna" etc...(Called sahams in India), this is also where bhrigu bindu comes from. (Just "my" opinion) Ashtakvarga and gochara phall are standard well known transit methods in India, along with perhaps nakshaktra chakras being used by some astrologers. To summarize, this is how I would rate/use them 1) Transits of outer planets (nodes/mars/st/jup/Uranus) over the ascendant and the Transits of all planets over natal moon. 2) Transits of outer planets (nodes/mars/st/jup/Uranus) over the 10th house. 3) Transits of planets in specific positions from the natal moon. (gochara paddhati) and transits of outer planets (nodes/mars/st/jup/Uranus) in kendras from the lagna For example – if nodes and Saturn come in kendras from the asc. , a change in working/living conditions is likely and if jup/ rahu comes in kendras a new business /job/marriage is likely etc. This is very brief but within these few pointers lies years of testing. These are principles which will work over and over. And I think as astrologers we should keep testing principles until we find the ones that work "most" of the time. Dear Sunil, have you found consistent results with your use of the Bhrigu bindu; you mentioned it as a favourite. Can you elaborate more on this, perhaps. Thanks everyone. Guest guest
I met him in March 2007 to discuss about job change. He rightly told me to wait till Sep 2006 to make a move. This turned out to be correct. He used only vimshottari dasa and transits from Moon and Lagna.
