Guest guest
if the group feels that there are too many variables or parameters then how does one maintain sanity with regards to these variables. I am sure great understanding must be met first. just because you are experienced as an astrologer doesn't mean you are experienced as the scientist. it does take a scientist to figure out if these ayanamsas and dasha systems are accurate. so as scientists first and astrologers second (those who feel they experienced astrology in that manner) what ayanamsa does one feel most comfortable with? however this might be repeat discussion I believe from previous posts. this debate can go on and on of course. my intuition feels that lahiri is very good and that the vimshottari dasha system is one of the best. __________ Raja Gursahani *: 314.761.3134 (Cell) *: rajagursahani

Your patient is moaning of a stabbing pain roughly to the right of the abdomen. You've had hordes of tests done and Harrison's spits out a possible 16 differential diagnoses and you've to make a call with the egg who's provided you your Professional Indemnity insurance at the door, watching. Trust me, an astrologer's position more often than not is a lot less objective and/or dicey than that while the expectation of an accurate prognosis is no lesser. BVR has written at length on the various aspects (pun incidental) that an astrologer needs to consider before saying anything. And he wasn't some idle idiot. what ayanamsa does one feel most comfortable with? however this might be > repeat discussion I believe from previous posts. this debate can go on and > on of course. > The ayanamsa seems by the day to be the holy grail to us siderealists isn't it? It isn't so much a matter of feeling comfortable with as it's an object of sniggering by those that swear by the tropical zodiac. The entire claim to superiority, which itself is well-founded imo, of the sidereal is by the accounting of the great year. If only we all had one indisputable reference starting point of that year...
