Dear Suneel,

On page 411 we read that when Moon is in kona to Lagna then Vimshottari works well.

When Jupiter is strong then Narayana dasa gives best results. Natural dasas are for Surya.

I use Narayana dasa always, with Vimshottari (conditionals or moon/utpaka/lagna depending on chart), Moola dasa, Naisargika, Shoola and other dasa for specific situations, like AK Kendradi Graha dasa for spiritual development or Buddhi-Gati-dasa for Grahamalika. But I was taught to master one dasa depending on Your chart, if Moon is badly placed then You will not be good in Vimshottari dasa, If Jupiter is wellplaced then try to master Narayana dasa..Chart structure and timing depends on situation of karaka of this timing (dasa).

that's a wonderful approach ! thanks very much for sharing on how you

would use vimsottotri, perhaps varga analysis works with this way,

perhaps it does not,for now lets come back to our original discussion

on dasas used by us individually,

"To reiterate I would like to hear as to what dasa systems

do you use in your approach and how would you RATE them !"

this is for all jyotishes on the forum,so we can reach some consensus

on which dasas work based on their popularity of usage,

Dear Jyotisha,

I am sure every Jyotisha who had contact with tradition knows

very well how the dasas are DEFINITELY working in Varga's. There

were to many events matched to ignore this useful experience. We

cant ignore it as that would be going backwards. For those

interested and having faith in rules presented by Acyuta-parampara

(SJC) I would like to present one example (its my chart):

October 25, 1982

Time: 19:36:30

Time Zone: 1:00:00 (East of GMT)

Place: 18 E 41' 00", 50 N 13' 00"

Lets see how Venus AD work in Lagna's per Vimshottari based on Moon.

Rasi Varga

1. Venus in D1 is connected to Upapada (with lord), seventh lord and

fifth bhava, so in that period would be hard to avoid prediction

about meeting partner. In Venus ad person started serious

relationship. Venus is twelfth lord so also there was time of

foreign travel and emotions involved (5L). As there is Raja Yoga in

fifth bhava and Venus is lord of A10 person got some recognition.

Tenth lord from Moon is Venus so support and demand for job appeared.

Hora Varga

2. Venus in D2 (Kn) is in seventh from HL therefore giving potential

to financial-improvement. Venus is lord of ninth in second bhava, so

person teached Jyotish-vidya in social circle (2H) and get

opportunity to get money from consulting (venus).

Drekkana varga

3. Here Venus is in Lagna. Person showed new interest in karma in

society (karma-viveka) and there were new beginings and attitude-

change about things one will do.

Turyamsa varga

4. Here venus has argala on malefic in forth which means some change

of residence, as mangal is third lord it was short move and for

short time.

Dasamsa Varga

5. Here is parivartana between forth and ninth giving raja yoga

related to doing good for society and Guru's. Jupiter is in ninth

which gives fame from teaching while Venus in forth its good for

hours in work, it means also that Gurus are influencing one's

inteligence and choices (yuti lagnesh) during that time.

Dwadasamsa Varga

6. Here Venus aspects Buddha which is maraka to forth and ninth, but

forth is occupied by Venus therefore it will give bad health to

father.

Shastyamsa Varga

7. Venus is lord of a4 in forth bhava, therefore person got a car in

that period. As Venus is in kona to parivartana lagnesh (Jupiter) it

was possible (native feels comfortable).

Vimsamsa Varga.

8. Venus is forth and ninth bhava, therefore getting contact and new

relation (7H) with asrams/temples and Guru's/guide's.

Siddhamsa Varga

9. Venus is third lord which means that person is finishing masters

education in that time. As its tenth lord there were opportunities

in teachings (work in education).

Shastyamsa chart

10. Venus is aspected by Mangal and Rahu giving a curse, its in

eleventh bhava which means problems with friend circle.

II Om Gurave Namah II

Hari om , Friend,

Dear Rafal,

Venus AD will come to end around 30 April 2009 and in first Six month itself

all that you have described has come to pass, Thanks for sharing such a beautiful example.Ovbiously period till end of Bhukti be also go smoth.

You have described happiness from Car from Shastyamsa Vraga, It is new to me.

"Shastyamsa Varga

7. Venus is lord of a4 in forth bhava, therefore person got a car in that period. As Venus is in kona to parivartana lagnesh (Jupiter) it

was possible (native feels comfortable).

For those from older generation and who worked on divisional charts when "New Techniques of Prediction "came out from the pen of Late Shri H.R.Seshadri Iyer around 1970

this is what has been illustrated and taught by him with 40 examples in chapter III in slightly different way but outside Acyuta- parampara.

[Om Krishna Guru] Re: ~ DISCUSSION ON DASAS ~ Vimshottari works in Vargas

Dear Gurujans,

I would like to add a bit of my experience. I had been using only

Vimshotri Dasha till 1999. After having read books on Narayan

Dasha,I tried to learn it's application. With practice, I am amazed

to experience that usage of both the Vimshotri and Narayan Dashas

are almost complementing each other, in understanding the Phalit

Jyotish, and the accuracy in predicting the events increases

tremendously , as also the confidence level. Further I take help of

Transit(from Moon or Lagna,whichever is strongest),coupled with

Ashtakvarga. With this the percentage of my correct reading and the

prediction of events has gone up, not to say that good name and

respect, too has grown.
