this is called gandusha - the traditional technique is to

_completely_ fill one's mouth oil, hold as long as possible and then

spit it out

problem is you go through a lot of oil, but you can also use just

water or herbal infusions/decoctions too

kavalagraha is more like a regular gargle, percolating the water in

your mouth with oil, herbal extracts etc

the benefits are clearly mentioned in ayurveda, but one cannot expect

miracles, such as reversing severe dental caries

btw, i have some comments about the following:

> poison that must be removed.

notes #4 and #5 are absolutely silly - if a condition gets WORSE then

stop what you are doing and consult a professional

some people refer to this as Herring's Law of Cure, but this has

never been proven per se, and like a lot of the old homeopathic

thinking like miasmic remedies, the practice is very heavily tipped

in favor of dogmatic thinking, rather than listening to your own body

ayurveda maintains very clear indications for inappropriate

administration of remedies - in no case have i have come across any

technique recommended by ayurveda that says that if the condition

gets noticeably worse then one should continue with treatment
