Guest guest
Student: "Do you think I can exercise my will, for instance, by denying certain things?" Teacher: "No. Denying yourself is an indulgence and I don't recommend anything of the kind. That is the reason I let you ask all the questions you want. If I told you to stop asking questions, you might warp your will by trying to do that. The indulgence of denying is by far the worst; it forces us to believe we are doing great things, when in effect we are only fixed within ourselves." The same wisom is found in many places, but is not always seen. I do not think that all can clearly see the relavence of this out-take. I do believe it is relavent for those who are able to see it, though. Ask questions if needed. For those open enough to learn more I can share the source of this quote.
