Guest guest
Respected Vrajleela Ji , I have read some of your responses on group mails and found very good. Can i request you to do my analysis in general and specific to two questions which are below : 1. Wanted to study astrology, have started this. What are the prospects. 2. Want to settle abroad. Below are the details : January 5, 1974 Time: 10:16:00 Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT) Place: 75 E 22' 00", 32 N 26' 00" Kanpur, India Thanks in Advance. Regards. There is a fundamental difference between Karna and Arjuna, where the former attempts to "elect" a guru (in search of vidya only) while the later was "seleceted by" a guru(Dronacharya). If your "Sankalpa bala" (as a result of past karmic deeds) is stronger you will attract a Guru. Lot of people do not give importance to such things but try to study on their own, as nowadays there are plenty of (cheap literature) books available. Present day disciplines like Physics, Maths and life sciences itself require a minimum 10yrs and imagine how much time will take to master metaphysical subjects like Jyotish(which is not Hora or predictive astrology alone but Skandha tryatmakam i.e., Siddhant, Hora and Samhita) as Vedaanga which manifests in the form of Sruti(said) and Smriti(heard) through Guru (graha who is the lord for this two faculties). This is not like chiding or something like that but is to make you realise the actual situation which may help you to reorient your sankalpa bala(sraddha). By grace of a proper Guru one can even master them within a day!!!. Presently (till 4th Dec) Guru is in Moudhyam (Combusted), it is the prime duty of a shisya to extend divine help to such weak Guru by offering prayers like "Hayagriva Stotra" which will be considered by Guru by the moment he comes out of such weak state like combustion or neecha and will usher his Kataksha and I pray Lord Radhakrishna to be so. Meanwhile for the benefit of other members, I would like to mention some points that one should take notice: 1. Lot of people (astrologers!!!) only know Parasara and apply vimsottari but do not question why Astronomer/Astrologer Varahamihira do not adopt this school anywhere in his school (which is of Garga through Satyacharya) known through his magnum opus Brihatjataka 2. Just like one require two eyes to see perfectly an object, we have to study atleast two schools of thought and in this context Brihatjatak reveals the secrets of underlying principles of Parasara Please visit this site http://therealexplanation.org/Brihaj_jataka.html <http://therealexplanation.org/Brihaj_jataka.html> I will answer your second question later Hope you got the point Jairadhe > Respected Vrajleela Ji , > > I have read some of your responses on group mails and found very good. > Can i request you to do my analysis in general and specific to two questions which are below : > > 1. Guest guest
Dear Members: I introduce myself as an astrologer from kerala (some of you might have already guessed this from my name) As one member has rightly remarked, this rajleelaji seems to be too proud in the way he delineates things! Honestly, I feel that it is self-proclaimed Gurus like these who deter serious aspirants away from noble fields like astrology, mantrikam, etc. I can say this because I know the late Shri Krishnan Potti - a great Divine Astrologer of Kerala who was also known for his simple ways and great knowledge. I get reminded of that great astrologer whenever I read posts of Shri. Dakshinamoorthiji of this forum. In this regard, Guruji Dakshinamoorthiji stands miles apart from everyone! See, he is steeped in traditions, but also knows how to put a humble aspirant at ease. He insists on vedic protocols like he does not encourage people addressing him informally as "Hi", does not allow people to cross legs in front of him, etc....but he always does so with a captivating smile on his face so that the person in front of him gets the lesson but does not feel bad at all! Lord Krishna had this quality - of smiling forever and putting others at ease even when the things were not actually going right. Instead, lecturing on types of sishyas etc. as rajleelaji does, will not drive the lesson home. A great scholar must also know how to use the right words with the right tone. A true Guru of course has the right to chide or even chastise the sishya with punishments for the sishya's welfare; but, you cannot assume that someone is a sishya and you are the Guru! This is a fallacious assumption. This forum is more of a discussion forum and haughty words will spoil the spirit of knowledge sharing and instead instil egoistic responses and counterresponses..... Even the posts of Guruji Dakshinamoorthiji have the same soothing touch. When a doubt is raised, he never takes the high horse; he analyzes the view points without hurting others and without unnecessary lectures. All members might have noted that Guruji never indulges in unnecessary posts and counterposts even if someone occasionally attacks his views (of course this is very very rare; when it happens, it is usually the ignorance of the other member which Guruji simply ignores. He even has the broad mind to request other members who post supportive messages favouring him to refrain from that if the debates get too heated up! The exchanges between shri aghorabhairav and other members regarding brahmana sapa were brought to an end only on Guruji's intervention as he felt that the matter was getting unnecessarily extended) "Vidya dathaathi vinayam" - "Real learning bestows humility". It is for others to accept you as a Guru or not......one should not assume that one is a great Guru and start treating others as minions. Rajleelaji also seems to be well-read, but he will do well to take a leaf out of Guruji Dakshinamoorthiji's book and correct himself so that the forum can benefit from his knowledge. A Guru speaks little, but his presence, his gestures, and way of life should be a guide to others. It is not for a Guru to extend tirades against anybody with ego in heart. At this juncture, I would like to thank Mohanraaamji - the yogi who introduced Dakshinamoorthiji into this forum. I humbly request rajleelaji to avoid challenging tones in his post which is unnecessary. Best wishes to everyone, abhishekpotti. vedic astrology, "vrajleela" <vrajleela wrote: > > > > vedic astrology, Astro Astro <astrolog9@> > wrote: > >Dear astro astro > I have already mentioned four kinds of shiyas in my post dated 28th Nov > 2006. It is not clear from your post whether he accepted you as his sishya or not. Anyway, in our mother tongue "Potti" means short. I pray to lord Radhakrishna to give you wisdom symbolical to "Vamaana" - an incarnation of Lord Vishnu with Guru amsa so that you can excel your virtual guru (Guru tulya). Taking side of a Guru but not sashtra will end in Ekalavya's state. I apprecitate if you continue your posts with subject first and then other things it is a pre-requisite on part of a member as you said it is a "public forum". I have not seen any posts from you before, and it is not good on your part to enter straight away with a post of this nature. The who protects dharma by implementing exactly what jnana says is a true preserver who attracts the kataksha of Deva Guru and one who takes interest in persons rather than principles will only attract Asura-Guru Rama incarnation is meant to "follow" whereas as Krishna incarnation is to enjoy his leela. So do not compare some persons jestures or manners as equivalent to Krishna - it is a sin Hope you got the point Jairadhe > Dear Members: > > I introduce myself as an astrologer from kerala (some of you might > have already guessed this from my name) > > As one member has rightly remarked, this rajleelaji seems to be too > proud in the way he delineates things! Guest guest
Dear Rajleelaji: You have written "Potti" means small in your native tongue (is it Telugu?) But, I am a Malayali and Potti is the surname of a priestly class highly respected in Kerala. Patthil pottis have overseen the administration of various temples. This is another example of your "blinkered" vision! If you still have a doubt, kindly get it clarified with a malayali in your area.....Potti definitely is not small in our language. My parents named me not in your language! There is no sin in comparing certain gestures of Guruji Dakshinamoorthiji to Lord Krishna's gestures.......Divinity is within everyone but not everybody manifests it! Try to understand this principle. I have definitely not committed a sacrilege. I have not said Dakshinamoorthiji is Krishna; I only said that certain qualities of Guruji resemble Lord Krishna's attitudes. Guruji has not accepted me as sishya; not have I requested so. But, I feel "Guru tatwa" is in Pandit Dakshinamoorthiji and it is to that "Tatwaa" and "Bhaava" that I give my respects. He is not my personal Guru. My Guru in astrology is Shri Krishnan Potti of revered memory. I missed my Guruji after his death and I see a similar calibre in Dakshinamoorthiji. Hence I addressed him as Guruji. There is no connection between us...and for your information I have not even written privately once to Dakshinamoorthiji. Though I may be new to posting in this forum, I have been following these columns from its inception along with my astrological friends. I know that you yourself are a new entrant to this (you started posting only from November 2006). So, you may not know about the greatness of Dakshinamoorthiji. Read his posts for the past one year; then you will know what I am saying....definitely the quality of certain posts are superhuman in that they clarified some tricky doubts regarding sensitive issues in astrology and dharma shaastra without any controversy and those complicated principles were made crystal clear even to a novice. Whereas your posts only smack of an intellectual arrogance. I am an astrologer myself with a considerable experience and hence am able to distinguish the quality of the posts. Kindly do not be jealous of Dakshinamoorthiji. He is beyond comparison.....you can at best hope to emulate his approachability. Nobody feels intimidated to ask a query to Guruji....he either answers them politely, and even if he declines to answer, there is a decorum in that. Kindly learn from that. Otherwise, your knowledge will not benefit others. I belong to Kerala - the Motherland of mantrikam and jyoshiam and my interest and commitment to this subject need no reiteration. I will tell you another thing......we Malayalees do not generally accept people of other traditions easily in our traditional strongholds like jyoshiam or mantreekam. We are too proud for that! If a Mallu like me compliments a non-Mallu like Guruji, it will not be without am good reason. No need to elaborate....my reference to Guruji Dakshinamoorthiji was only to draw your attention to the fact that you are abrasive in your posts (even another member had commented on that earlier) which should be avoided. Take it or leave it...it is up to you. I will not post any further on this matter. Best wishes. vedic astrology, "vrajleela" <vrajleela wrote: > > vedic astrology, "abhishekpotti" > <abhishekpotti@> wrote: > >Dear Pottiji > From your words "you cannot assume that someone is a sishya > and you are the Guru! Guest guest
Hey Vrajleela: where were you when Dakshinamoorthiji gave his clarifications? His clarifications have extended far beyond ordinary text bookish axioms you have given so far! And you wish to challenge...this is what I precisely ask you to avoid! The challenging tone to almost everything said to you. That is why you are faceless scum while people like Pandit Arjunji, Narasimha Raoji, Pandit Dakshinamoorthiji are so famous and doing such wonderful services due to their humility and selfless egoless posts! I still feel you have atleast some knowledge....my only concern is let it be of use to someone here.....I posted with good intentions to correct you. Unnecessary debates and arguments will do noone any good. The first quality of an astrologer is a smiling countenance and a humble disposition. Cultivate those basics before arguing on the shaastra. Book worms perish in the very books....it does not mean they are knowledgeable. You are also like those vermins only! If you are sensible, keep out Panditji's name out of our argument. I spoke highly of him...so will many persons from this forum. Your jealousy or diatribes cannot stop that. Even Agorabhairavji will concur with me when I say Pandit Dakshinamoorthiji is a very knowledgeable person of this forum. I think it is Guruji's bad time that somehow or other, somebody drags his name unnecessarily even though he is steering clear off all controversies. Have some sense....common sense and respect for fellow scholars is more important than bookish knowledge. You got angry even for a typo error of your id......and still felt it right to belittle my family name "Potti"...we are priest families, you are no one to challenge that; you do not even have a original name to post in this forum. YOu are ashamed of yourself is it? hiding behind an assumed name? We are not! You are ending your posts with JaiRadhe.....that bhakti cult is based on humility not on empty headed ego as the one you have. I am egoistic....but ego is beautiful for a mantrik.....I follow my path...whereas you are not true to the tenets of your assumed path of bhakti on krishna leelas! Try to be worthy of yourself before judging other gurus here who have rendered more service than you for the cause of astrology. I have been a silent observer of this group. Only your diatribes made me enter into the fray. Your idiotic post 82918 giving a wrong Gayathri mantra on Nov 22, 2006 made me think....being a mantrik I should not keep quiet I thought....then I assumed no body would believe a half-baked idiot like you and chant the mantra as given by you. they might go to a proper Guru to have it initiated. So, I left it. But you were constantly shooting shits with confidence like "double kala sarpa yoga" and other nonsense continuously which have no shastraic evidence (even in Varahamihira school which you proclaim to follow!) It is idiots like you who spread superstition. That is why I decided to step in. Wake up and grow up instead of burning yourself in jealousy over better endowed Gurujis. May Lord Krishna whom you proclaim to worship give you knowledge. May Radhe teach you the value of selfless affection like the ones we all have for Pandit Dakshinamoorthiji, Narasimhaji, Arjunji, Subhavelaji, and other Gurus of this forum. vedic astrology, "vrajleela" <vrajleela wrote: > > vedic astrology, "abhishekpotti" > <abhishekpotti@> wrote: > >Mr Potti > You do not know how to spell "Vrajleela" by repeatedly addressing me > as "Rajleelaji" but talk Krishna's leelas, "bhaava" and "Tatwa" and > boast of priesthood. U r a great&good person but pls dont criticise ,some body because of his poor back ground or something. As far as my knowledge the brahmins of kerala are highly respected and their authority over subjuct like jyothisha ,mantra and tantra is supreme. How great sankara parampara(jagat guru adi sankara) can go wrong let us stop here.As we r all learning. urs astrologicaly sunil nair om shreem mahalaxmai namah vedic astrology, "vrajleela" <vrajleela wrote: > > > > vedic astrology, Astro Astro astrolog9@ > wrote: > >Dear astro astro > I have already mentioned four kinds of shiyas in my post dated 28th Nov > 2006. Guest guest
Dear list members, Though i have no right to intervene between Sh. Vrajleela and Potti for Guru and Shishya controversy. At the period of internet, when we are connected with emails, no one is Guru or Shishya as I do not know Vrajleela and Potti and still writing email to them. In the period of internet, the one who seeks advise refers the other as Guru only to pay respect to him and other becomes Shishya. This is not in the sense of spiritual sphere. please take it only in the sense of respect only, nothing else. I hope I have clarified the problem of Guru and shishya --- vrajleela <vrajleela > wrote: > vedic astrology, > "abhishekpotti" > <abhishekpotti wrote: > >Dear Pottiji > From your words "you cannot assume that someone is a > sishya > and you are the Guru!
