Namaste Subadhra Devi Dasi,

Offerings can be as elaborate or as simple as a person wishes. Its

the bhakti that goes into it that matters. Generally incence is waved

or wafted in offering to rudraksh.

Since the rudraksh is cleaned, applying sandal paste to it is usually

done for beads or malas that are to be placed on the altar for

worship.

If they are for wearing, then waving or touching a bit of sandal

paste or powder to the beads is fine. This is also a form of offering.

Although Vaishnava practices differ from Shivaite practices, the two

sometimes can be integrated according to the devotee's needs.

sandal paste to the rudkraksha bead - after cleansing it etc. I was

reading this in the booklet it came with and would like to clarifiy

if there is a specfic method for doing this.

Performing arotik one offers many different items to the Lord in a

specfic manner - according to Vaishnava practice - and I was

wondering how this offering of incence and sandal paste would apply?

is it merely offered in a certain way to the bead??
