Guest guest
In Nepal, and in India, the surest path to legitimacy, respectability and large financial payoffs is one of terror and murder. The New Government of Nepal has just handed over $1.4 million dollars to the Maoist terror army. Never in history has an enemy been successfully bought off and thus this is another defeat for the people of Nepal. Not only this, Prachanda has clearly stated his plans to use democracy and negotiations as a stalling method. He has clearly stated that he is dedicated to building up his strength for future attacks. Thus this gift of $1.4 mil will assuredly be used against the people of Nepal in the very near future. Why is a desperately struggling country like Nepal paying off terrorists? Where are all these allegedly concerned UN bodies and Human rights groups? Who is really behind this blackmail? The answer can be easilly gauged by following the loud and obnoxious voice of the mainstream media. Today's media is a weapon and tool. Thus when an extreme left group files charges in Germany against an American citizen, Rumsfeld, Time magazine, NYT etc all carry the story without mentioning the fact that the lawsuit was filed by an entity with ties to the Maoist in Nepal. By contrasting the media and secularist's opinion and treatment of the Maoists with their treatment of the Shiv Sena, RSS, VHP, World Hindu Association etc. the truth becomes obvious.Kidnap, murder, terrorize, loot, pillage in the name of leftist or Islamic causes and you will be protected, given alibis, excuses and financially rewarded. Write, speak, read, promote and practice Hindu cultures and causes and you will be targetted as communal, fascist, chauvinistic and denied a voice in the arena of politics and education. So in 'Secularese' Maoist grenades blowing up helpless citizens is a good thing and Hindus throwing flowers and shouting 'Jaya Sri Rama!' are communal fascists. There is not much we can do except stand up for the Truth and if shouting 'Jaya Sri Rama!' causes them displeasure, let us shout 'Jaya Sri Rama!' as we refuse to be cheated out of our destiny as citizens of Ram-Rajya. As to what Ram-Rajya really means we can look to the example of Bharat. In the Ram-Bharat Milan episode of the Ramayana, we can get a clear understanding on having the Kingdom of Lord Rama despite the absence of Sita-Rama-Lakshman. Hindu civilization's repeated efforts to have Ram-Rajya without Rama will always fail until we follow the in the footsteps of Bharat. Thus in order for Bharat Mata to reach it's potential, Bharatiya's must follow the path of Bharat. There really is no other way. Otherwise we will constantly be fighting adharmic forces in adharmic arenas and becoming more and more adharmic ourselves. Jaya Hanuman Vrndavan Parker Nepal hands over funds to build Maoist rebel camps KATHMANDU (Reuters) - Nepal's multi-party government handed $1.4 million to Maoist rebels on Monday to pay for the setting up of camps that will house guerrilla fighters under a peace deal signed last week, a senior minister said. "We have provided the money as an installment which will meet the cost of setting up cantonments for the Maoist army and their maintenance," Gopal Man Shrestha, minister for physical planning and works, told Reuters after a cabinet meeting. "They will have to give proper records of how it is spent to the government," he said. Last week, the government and Maoists inked a landmark peace agreement declaring a formal end to the decade-old insurgency in which more than 13,000 people have died. Under the peace deal, and before they join an interim government by Dec. 1, the Maoists have to restrict their 35,000 fighters to 28 camps across the country and store their weapons in seven locations under the watch of United Nations monitors. The government must also confine its 90,000-strong army to barracks and lock up an equal number of its arms in the run-up to next year's elections for a special assembly, which would write a new constitution for Nepal and decide the fate of its monarchy. But U.N. officials say the weapon storage arrangements will not be in place by Dec 1, something that could delay the rebels joining the interim government. On Monday, government negotiators, rebel commanders and U.N. officials continued to hammer out the details of how to monitor the arms, a controversial issue which delayed the peace deal for months. http://in.today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2006-11-27T204020Z_01_NOOTR_RTRJONC_0_India-277997-1.xml&archived=False
