Guest guest
Dear Prashantji, I thought mahapurush yogas were the highest. This chart (DoB 15/1/78, ToB 10.20am PoB Chennai) has a couple of parivartana yogas, sun-saturn (6th & 11th house) and jupiter-mercury (4th and 10th). 6 and 11 are bad combinations, and I believe it's the type of parivartana that gives poverty. I forgot its name, though. Also, can you tell me why PY are special, when I've always heard mahapurush yogas (and gajakesari etc.) to be the best? Guest guest
Absolutely Suresh! You said that you had 'heard' that mahapurusha yogas ... etc! (see your message at the bottom of this thread) But after hearing that -- I was assuming that you went and looked up some charts and I was merely asking -- What did you see? If we are serious about jyotish, we do not ask questions based on what we heard. We go and examine real charts and test what we heard. Please do not take this as a sermon or criticism. As you must have seen, if you have been long here, we have already appointed persons here who do that already ;-) As Emperor Akbar had been quoted to say: Bazaar say guzraa hoon Kharidaar nahin hoon! (Just a passer by, a window shopper is all that I am!) Please allow me to thrust upon you something from past! ************************** Emperor Akbar was the greatest Moghul to have ever ruled over India. The only one who made a real effort to combine the best of Hinduism and Islaam into what he called, DEEN-E-ILAHEE a world religion of sorts. One of his famous sayings was Bazaar se guzra hoonh kharidar nahin hoonh . I am merely a window shopper, passing through this market of life, I do not intend to buy anything from this market. He was a saint, a detatched saint, one of the best emperors that India ever had, that India could ever have I dedicate this to him. Dazzling neons, flashing signs enticing, tantalizing, luring promising pleasures beyond imagination promising levels unreachable, and intoxicating tunes of what seems like love My feverish brain, forlorn and thirsty and my heart, wish I could even reach it so far from my soul has it gone this time. Temptations that beckon at me enticingly, waving their beautifully manicured hands tickling my desires and touching my fancies calling deploringly, to the brink of my disaster. I fumble helplessly, as demons of desires grab and clutch at my struggling soul and pull yearningly at my willling heart. Anchors I look for but hooks are all I find as longings of lifetimes, rear their hungry heads and greed surrounding my soul reaches an all time high. Love, She assures me, but is that what this is? Why then do I feel? This agonizing pain of loneliness? Why does it feel so empty when the shops now are all closed Why do I writhe and pine so, till 'tis opening time again, tomorrow? Would I ever get through, this market of emptiness, where dazzling packages hold just the venom of isolation? Why must I go through this again – and again? Wasn't I just here before? Is this a final test or, merely the beginning, of it all, yet again?? What lies at the end of all this, If knew only I that, perhaps it could have been easy, to hold on to the loftiness when karma makes me look again into this chasm of despair, I never could leave Written by Rohiniranjan (on behalf of Emperor Aqbar) on: October 6, 1993 ************************************************************** <check out the transits if you want to examine the astrological angle to this posting -- there is always one - trust me ;-) , "suresh1511978" <suresh1511978 wrote: > > Dear Ranjan ji, > > I am not sure what you're trying to say. Guest guest
Dear Ranjan ji, Sorry, but I didn't merely 'hear' about this. I did check many charts. The Mahatma had malviya yoga caused by sukra, Hitler's ruchaka yoga, actor Bachan's hans yoga, and many, many more. And also mahapurush implies "great person", so I put two and two together. Very rarely, as in Indira Gandhi's case, I've come across PY. But most great and accomplished people seem to have one of the MP yogas. That's why I put forth the query, in sheer surprise, having assumed that MPY were the best. In most journals also, I've come across people saying MPY are the best combinations, as signified by the name. Hope I haven't bothered you with any of this. Guest guest
Suresh, I was just going by the words you posted. I hope I have not made you upset by my taking your words too literally! I think Yogas as depicted by some jyotishis are overrated, in general when they are considered without attention being given to lordships etc that are horoscope-specific.
