Guest guest Posted November 23, 2006 Report Share Posted November 23, 2006 Om Namah Shivaya Dear Shiv Bhakt, I had been to Omkareshwar in March of this year.So pls find your answers- a)Omkareshwar is nearly 12 Km from Motakka, which is on Indore- Khandawa root.So to reach Motakka first you have to reach Indore.There is very good bus service between Indore to Motakka.From Motakka you can get bus/auto. b)There are many lodges near to temple and also one hotel of M.P.Tourism but that hotel has some distance from temple. c)You can perform abhishekam there by local pandit in Rs 101 . First visit Omkareshwar by crossing river Narmada,by boat or bridge.then do the pooja at Mamaleshwar.(both are on apposite side of river but first do the darshan of Omkareshwar then Mamaleshwar. THIS WILL BE THE EASIEST WAY FOR U. THERE ARE MANY DHARAMSHALAS AND MATHAS WHERE U CAN STAY .YOU WILL FIND PANDITS ON REACHING OMKARESHWER. I HOPE U HAVE A COMFORTABEL JOURNEY .
