Guest guest
Dear Gurujans I would appreciate if you could clarify my doubt on the following: When we determine the aspects of planets in a direct motion we count the houses in a clockwise direction (except for rahu and ketu who moves in retrograde motion always). Correct me if I am wrong. If we have a planet which is retrograde in the birth chart, do we still calculate the Aspects for that planet in a clockwise direction? or we have to consider the direction of the planet's motion. Please pardon me, if this is a silly question. Regards Sridhar

Retrogression doesn't mean that a planet is actually going backwards, rather it's a geocentric perception. If you walk besides someone who's walking slower than you, relative to your motion, he appears to be going backwards. The eyes, if you notice, will still be gazing ahead. Guest guest
Dear Sridhar, There is nothing in the texts to suggest that. Remember that planets appear to be in retrograde motion due to the difference in the motion of earth and other planets, they do not actually travel in reverse direction.
