Guest guest
Dear RR, we did examine such a possiblity this not like physically seeing the database like we do in paper world, in a paper freeworld this is possible, and after checking with a few in such fields only did suggest it and good at least 2 members have also come forward on this, this can be done in stages ins't it ? OUR MAIN CONCERN WAS THE DORMANT ID's being used for virus, worm launch, which is more of a nuiscance value. this not he final solutuon as the crooks still will invent more ways to bug us,of all the methods used this one is easier to rid off than the ones to come. regards/Prashant Rohiniranjan <jyotish_vani (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: Do you realize how much work you are making for the moderator and the owner, Ashutosh and Tanveer? Guest guest
Dear Ashutosh, Thanks for the reply. you have partly got the answer or point I said. to break it up for simpler reading pasted from urs reply .... They are lurking somewhere in the PCs and they are sending messages to some individuals only. ... the viruses are launced from some PC's is fine and they r probably using the dormants ID' s If you rrememebr I had quoted vattem Vrishnans ID being used some time back and others and we know V Krishnan is almost inactive from past 6 months or more. In the some posts I had quoted this said I am using a licenced Version OF XP , NIS 2005, MacAfee, apart from Ad-ware, AVG-ANTIVIRUS SCAN, AND Miscrosoft anti virus or anti-spy tools. doing all these regularly only I posted this and have been using these s/w and net from late 80's. I can fix them still at my end I was suggesting the possible remedy for all members at large. and with some heated times we had we can AVOID some misunderstandings that can crop up if such XXX POSTS COME from anyones ID's BTW the mails u said were sent to spam filter in the group server. WHEN I WAS SENDING it ALSO WERE checked by ITSELF WITH A RANDOM CODE THAT POPS UP AND YOU ENTER just to ensure it is not spam, this random number/letters is used even when we register in the or gmail id IF WE DONT LOG FOR SOME TIME. so we do see the msp Providing some security we can also work along the lines I said and know it is a small step and sure the crooks will fnd newer ways still. Prashant astrologerashutosh <astrologerashutosh (AT) (DOT) fr> wrote: Dear all, The viruses which are sending messages to Prashant's email or messenger can in no way be connected to group's server on . A virus in infecting the email cannot send message to the messenger of other person unless and until it has infected the computer of the message sender. There are no virus mails coming to the group as such from any of the idle group members. There is no reason to block their ids. The messages are being sent only to Prashant's id, no one else's. There is a provision of spam checking even on the JR group site. The spam checker works well enough, to the extent that the mails which Prashant sent to the group mentioning the virus activities, and citing some examples, landed up in spam folder rather than in group's messages. It was because the spam checker identified the given examples themselves as potential spam. So, there is no need to block any ids on the group. The viruses are not working from the server. They are lurking somewhere in the PCs and they are sending messages to some individuals only. The best way is to use a better antivirus and to increase the levels of spam filtering on your emails. Guest guest
Dear RR, I can comment on the last line I know many members who do comunicate with me have 3-4 ID's, and the purpouse of such is deliberate, stret smart which I think is not allowed I think in groups if established. I have another ID pkgoteti I had opened when I was facing a spate of spam of over 100 junk per session I logged so I had to search tiresomely for family and known members throu it finally as it became worse did open that [FOR JUST FAMILY MEMBERS] no sooner I did that ANTI SPAM FILTER CAME so there was no need to USE IT MORE THAN 8 WEEKS. but after becommign a member here there was pressure, daily for me to contribute in other groups sp vedic astrology, I was told is more academically and scholarly assembled, and that had made me more nervous and never dared to as I have said a few times my strenght is astrology and Avg in shastras, puranas etc and it could affect my astrological image itself, RELUCTANTLY I have entered it and do just do same as here only chart readings. The response is good to my work there too can continue till time permits by a month or so the construction permissions can come in has been over delayed. all time I have is surplus time, and if it helps anyone is worth the time and effort. 2 IDS help seperate the mails as i get them into my inbox to reply later have over 9k mails in VA AND 7K in JR unread. I wish there is a way to filter threads....into the inbox may be some day it can be done. 9/10 are useless I do read randomly lookign from some lcues, tips insights but more personal exchanges than astro content is flowing. regards/prashant Rohiniranjan <jyotish_vani (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: But on the forum the only thing I can think of is to check the list of bouncing members (soft or hard).
